Didn't the Italian media also publish articles with apparent quotes from Taider saying how he wasn't interested in Saints and how he wanted to stay at Inter. Plus, we all know how generally unreliable the Italian sports media are...

I don't think they ever did, was the usual saying something the player may say, without any direct quotes, but I could be wrong though.

Club size doesn't really work like that though does it? Celtic have an enormous fan base (albeit somewhat passive because they're in a backwater league) and are probably in the top 15-20 clubs worldwide in terms of shirt sales. If they were in the Premier League I genuinely think they could crack the Irish-American market and possibly, maybe even probably, become the biggest club in Britain.

Can't see that myself. Particularly not ahead of Liverpool and United.

Alfredo Pedulla earlier today said it had broken down. Saints not that keen and the player would prefer to go to Parma.

He spent last season on loan at Parma and had a successful time of it.

So we're not completely stupid then. Yeah, he's better off at Parma. They made a squad of mediocre players work very well together last season.

I'm not sure how Schelotto gets too much time at Parma really, I'd have thought their front three was pretty locked in with Cassano and Biabiany wide of Amauri. I guess Amauri is pretty crap so Cassano could be moved into the middle, but still.

EDIT: Okay he doesn't get too much time, only started 6 times.

Apparently Forster will fly down tonight for a medical the weekend. So if true it can't be him today.

I reckon the mystery player having a medical won't even be announced today
