Tobes wont be happy.

Everton's winless pre-season run continued as a Nolito hat-trick condemned them to a 3-1 defeat against Spanish side Celta Vigo.

The Toffees took the lead through an Aiden McGeady strike after 10 minutes.

But eight minutes later Nolito converted a deep cross, and he then gave Celta the lead when he robbed John Stones and chipped Tim Howard.

And the striker completed his 16-minute hat-trick when he curled a shot past Tim Howard before the break.

A winless preseason and the newest superstar CB's being at fault for a goal :(

Nah never happened....

But why are we discussing Everton on a rival watch thread, shouldn't we have a small neighbour watch thread so we can talk Everton and tranmere?

He has a great future that lad I'm sure even In his pre season **** form he'd cope with the Suarez replacement.....Lambert lol<cheers>

The kopite pundits are already starting to stick the boot into poor old Lambo. Ruddock being the latest with "his legs have gone" <laugh>

Lambo as looked lost in pre-season but its a bit harsh to be sticking the boot in already.

Wait til he runs out in front of the kop...his legs won't have gone then. Just don't think we know how to play to him yet. His style is a little bit foreign to us at the moment. I still believe he will do ok for us, no Suarez but then who is?

True, but Lambo is also foreign to our style and needs to learn to adjust a bit himself too. TBH, I don't expect him to play that much once Studge is fit, especially if we bring in another forward. I guess time will tell...

Brenda saying the other day that he won't be a first choice and won't play that often, will have done wonders for his morale I'm sure.

I'm sure he f**ing already knew that, you blue s**te blend <laugh>

"It doesn't matter what you do in training lad, you're plan b you Lambo"

Brenda's Plan A - lump into the channels for the quick lads to chase

Brenda's Plan B - lump it to Big Lambo's nugget <laugh>

Brod said similar for Hendo and Enrique <ok> (and Downing who forced his way back in for a short time)

It just depends on the individuals character. Accept Brod's words and collect the cash or prove a point?

He's 32 and in the same team as Sturridge who was the second highest goalscorer last season, he would have pissed himself laughing if Rodgers had said he was to be a guaranteed starter <laugh>

Pretty sure he signed expecting to be the backup and unlikely to get many starts. Also pretty sure that, being a boyhood Liverpool fan and all, he was completely happy about this.

Now you 've all defended Lambert to the hilt as he's not a 1st team starter etc like I knew you would...

I'd like to point out that Stones the young lad the forum bulbs were having a crack at Is not a first 11 starter either he's a very promising young lad who if he applies himself as he's shown so far will end up at the top of the game In his position which Is why he has gained many plaudits unlike Lambert who's legs have gone apparently?

Perhaps Brod has brought Lambert In to keep Slippy G company as Slippy won't feel as lonely being the only one who's legs have gone then awww there's thoughtful Brod...:emoticon-0102-bigsm
