Why hasn't he played in pre-season so far or am I missing something?

Should be very interesting cytrax, the lad oozes class. Give him ten years, and all the ABU's will be saying player x is the new Januzaj. and in those 10 years he will produce great things for United

Simply because he, Van Persie and Fellaini were given extra time off, they rejoin United tomorrow. nothing sinister, just a fact of how United treat their players

  13. Fair enough and well played Man Utd, why not let the players have time off, even if it is Rooney going away during the season, its all about keeping them happy <applause>

Strangely enough, similar to your efforts to the herculean task of coming second, a book was written by SAF on how the United way is looking after their the players. His theory was not to wear players out, and how to spot burn out, and how to counter it. It worked with Schmeichel, Cantona, Keene, Palister , Rooney etc etc.

It worked for 25 years, so why fix it if it isn't broken

  16. I don't recall any of them going on holiday mid-season like Rooney did last year though

Cantona was allowed the odd break. Didn't Rooney go to a warmer climate to help an injury recover more quickly? If Rodgers had done that for a player you'd be hailing it as revolutionary modern management (he certainly would have done)!

Schmeichel and Keane did. After his hip operation in 2002, Keane went on holiday for a month whilst recovering. Same as Rooney with his holiday last season after his head gash. And Schmeichel had a mid season holiday during the treble winning year, when he was the best GK in the world

Thanks for that Madinat & Swarts. You have more patience than me, I couldn't be arsed teaching the YSB's.
