How much of Taïder have you watched exactly? To say "I've glanced at the stats and he never exceeded 6.2 in 15 minutes" is pretty stupid. I'm sure a 22 year old Jack Cork would've looked ace playing for Inter Milan. He couldn't get near the Chelsea team. Must be ****, right?
He started 13 times last season, with an additional 12 sub appearances. I don't think you know what you're talking about.
And before we get onto the 'source' issue - check out whoscored.com - all the stats are there. Then comapre his stats to Morgan... reality check all round...
Its not stupid - he cannot break into the first team - WHY??? Over a season - the facts are the facts - he never made it with Inter and and are glad to hive him off to us. It's not rocket science for heavans sake - he's not good enough for Inter - so they are off-loading him. Question - how this this replacing quality with what we had - not just midfield but, genrally, across the squad? How is this a step-up?
he seems to be more of a depth purchase, and if he impresses we can get him permanently. I'd rather have him then not have him.
I really give up. We should never have signed Jack Cork. If he couldn't get in the Chelsea team by 22 he's obviously not good enough for Saints.
Inter finished fifth so aren't that terrible, though they're not what they once were. He still appeared in more than half their games, though struggled to gain consistent game time over the likes of Esteban Cambiasso, Fredy Guarin and Mateo Kovacic - not exactly a set of terrible players. He's not "replacing" anyone because we've not sold any CMs, he's simply being added as another option to our central midfield, which is fine. Seriously, go take a deep breath because this meltdown is based mostly on you being mistaken about facts and making snap judgements because of that.
