Has he just bribed his way out of a bribe case? Round of applause.

Why can't we just get this annoying midget-man out of our sport? Ridiculous that he could yet again weasel his way out of cold hard justice.

Guilt is implied with the payoff... Maybe that will be enough to get the little pratt the boot. Unlikely, but it's all we've got.

Bernie is a bloody dinosaur. It needs somebody younger with a vision beyond taking racing to oil rich hell holes. All he's ever done is use the sport to feather his own nest imo. Tracks are broke, teams are broke, the viewing public are broke... yet he's obscenely wealthy...

He can't bribe time. He's got a few more years in his job at the most. As for somebody in charge with a vision beyond their own wallet to replace him, i'm not getting my hopes up.

Knowing Bernie, he's probably already got a cryogenicially frozen clone on ice. The rat bastard.

I hate this man, he only cares about himself and hasn't really cared about F1 for years now. If he gets away with this then Formula 1 will suffer even more.

I wonder if Bernie and Blatter drink at the same pub?

It is indeed a disgrace. How can you 'buy' yourself out of a prosecution? Goes against the point of having a court in order to provide some sort of justice.

As soon as he goes, people can be brought in who understand how a sport should be run, and embrace everything that is needed to get F1 back on track.

That Bernie scoffs at social media because there is no money to be made directly out of it is ridiculous. He completely overlooks the indirect benefit of ensuring it is in the media all the time etc and with that will bring back more fans, viewers and sponsors as an indirect result of it.

He is just interested in lining his pockets now so his family will have an even larger inheritance (doubtless tax free in an offshore trust), rather than the sports long term future after he has gone.

In the 80's & 90's, Bernie was good for F1. He galvanized it and gave it direction and re-addressed the power that was being wielded from FISA and the autocratic Jean-Marie Balestre and gave it back to the teams. Now we're back to where it all began again as he can't let go of the power he now has, just as J-MB couldn't. Both became tyrants and damaged the sport, despite having good intentions to start with.

Sooner he is gone the better now. His time was up 10 years ago, I think he knows it, but as senility kicks in, he still believes he knows what's best and tries to cover up each crap idea, with another crap idea. Let the sport go back to it's roots again.

It's not the sport that's a joke... it's the people who run it...

It's about what I expected, with that sort of money floating about, anybody is tempted to accept a share, even the judiciary, totally unacceptable but there you are.

If you are an ordinary bloke like myself 68 years old, you have no chance, I pay 40% income tax on all my earnings and private pensions, not state pension its true, even have my allowance reduced by £2k because I'm still working full time post retirement.

The establishment are just a shower of bent bastards without exception.

Astonishing that Bernie has got away with this.

We have a corrupt, bent old man running the sport.

Some moron designing sleep-inducing new circuits and ruining any old ones.

    We have quiet cars.

    We have DRS.

    Someone save this sport. Please?
