Very happy to take Redmond. He's so young still. People want the finished product way too soon these days. Remember loads doubted Jay Rod before we signed him.

I am sure he could be useful for us, if only as an impact sub. I remember how he gave our defenders a real hard time last season, but trouble is as with most wingers he can be completely invisible at times. Would certainly rather have him than Ashley Young, although would probably prefer Zaha.
If we can get him for £2-4M there isnt much of a potential loss for us, but plenty of room to gain.

Why are people worried how much he costs? Why worry how much anyone costs? What does it matter to fans? It isn't like we will end the season in a deficit!

Redmand over Zaharias any day as his attitude is good and would improve with top class coaching.
At England U21 level he is a real handful unlike Zaharias who spends 50% of his time throwing himself on the floor and the other 50% moaning to the ref about not getting the free kicks.

True, but a high fee is a sign he'll be important to the squad which is worrying for some of us.

Of course it matters to the fans. It's not our own money but the club has a finite amount and if it spends badly it will go backwards.

In fairness this is the one year that we don't really have a finite amount. We're not going to spend 100m.
