Yes but we don't know who's leaving (if anybody is, which you'd have to assume given we would then have 6 CB's). SB might've told Macca and Bruce Jnr to find other clubs. SB wouldn't bother bringing him in if we didn't need him, would he?

Sorry, a 33-year-old defender who has been quite poor for two years now doesn't fill me with confidence, especially in our starting XI. He's the type of player QPR would sign. No thanks.

A lot of the online fans seem split in their opinions, some are glad to see the back of him, others seem to think he had another season in him. Something keeps cropping up about his nerve endings, which I didn't know about, anybody know anything more?

back spasms ? i fair few defenders have this occasional problem , could it be related to that ? dont think its considered a serious problem

I wouldn't have thought it's serious, no. He's 6"6, which is pretty tall even by defenders standards; I'm a couple of inches shorter and I get problems if I play sport week in week out, but that's in my ankles more than any other area.

Its pretty bad actually. If he gets them he wont be able to play when its acting up. It seems a fairly common thing here with our baseball players and they get laid up for weeks at a time when it happens.

I guess the stereotypes about Nordic people are true then. How tall are you, Tommy?

If he has a chronic sciatica problem we shouldn't be going anywhere near him no matter how good a player he might have been 2-3 years ago. The nerve pain is excruciating and affects the legs/knees not just the back. I'm amazed he was able to play at all last season. I think we can do a lot better than a 33-year old with back problems.

Spoke to burnsy earlier, he reckons hangeland is very much on, Bruce could be going to TWS for £1m (hand snapped thankyou very much) and we've recieved a bid of £10m for Davies but he doesn't want to leave.
