Benedicic, who is yet to make a senior appearance for the Italian giants, has represented Slovenia at Under-21 level after glowing reports for Milan’s Under-19s. He told Il Calciofilo: "We are waiting for all the documents and the last confirmations, then I will sign. I am one step away from becoming a Leeds player. This opportunity is very good to me. "They wanted me intensely and I have always liked English football. My first goal? To achieve a place in the starting XI."
Leeds United have offered former Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker a contract, according to the Sun Newspaper.
Oh FFS ... we really don't need another midfielder, especially a "final payday" one ... seriously, how stupid will we be if we sign a well-past-it Reo-Coker? That will mean in midfield we will have: Bianchi, Viviani, Benedicic, Murphy, Austin, Mowatt, Norris, Tonge, White, Cook, Dawson, Thompson AND Reo-Coker? NO NO NO!! Get us two centre backs, three wide men and at least one striker please!!
I've got a feeling that we could see the back of a few of the midfielders. Celino is bringing in players before he gets rid of players instead of getting rid of players then trying to sign new ones which might fail.
Agreed Billy. He wasn't that great in his pomp. Not sure he'd get into our team now. Mind you this is the Sun. So of course it'll be true!!!
Fair point Wolves. Norris, Tonge, White and Thompson could leave any time. Mowatt's getting back to full fitness after injury and Austin/Murphy will be in our midfield for much of the season. But how are we going to fit the three newbe Italians in?
Leeds United defender Tom Lees has reportedly agreed a three year deal with Sheffield Wednesday, ahead of a reported move to the Owls, as tweeted by Sky Sports journalist Graham Bailey.
