Well pissed (the beer was great and my Robins mate was buying), and have to say we looked better, big improvement ... Bianchi is class, he can play and if Viviani and Benedicic are better than Bianchi we have a midfield ... Morison scored (expect a bid from Holloway now), another Rudy pen ... can't decide between Byram or Berardi at right back ... oh and heard Lees is subject of a bid from another Championship club ... we looked better without Smith up front, he msy be a long ball magnet ... still need width though, Championship teams will test the diamond a lot more

I've always said Smith is a good striker but he shouldn't be relied on, ideally he'd be on the bench for me with better strikers starting which would also hopefully motivate him to push the strikers for a start.

Heard a lot of good things about Bianchi and Doukara from this game which is encouraging. We still are lacking so many signings though imo.
 
How pissed were you Billy when watching the match?.......:biggrin:
Sounded a lot better than the last few games.
 
He must have been pissed. I thought it was dire. No pressure on the ball when we didnt have it, apart from Austin. Murphy was a waste of space. Sam looked injured from the start. Game was played at half pace but we still struggled to retain the ball. I was quite possitive a few days ago, now think its going to be a long boring season.

I listened to Thom Kirwin and Eddie Grays Commentry and they said it was one of the better pre season games they had watched. Sam injured from the start my arse, he had a cracking game. I dont even believe you were there with your report especially after listening to the game and reading various other reports.
 
I'm with LiY. We sounded a lot better. Smith up front gives us options that others don't. But we need other options. Beradi at RB & Byram at RM is the way to go. Austin as DM & Murphy along side him as AM with an other at LM. Doukara and Bianchi sound promising.

All together, so much better than Saturday. Miles off the finished product, but definitely getting better.
 
Good Leeds performance. Doukara man of the match, fast strong & always looking to run in behind, caused problems all night, massive difference to Smith who you can just hit long balls to. Bianchi not far behind him, great passing and always has time on the ball, a few killer through balls, good game. Byram also played really well and looks better going forward than in defense.

A much better showing than Chetsterfield away, only negative was the keeper Talylor but we know Silvestri is our No1 <ok>


Oh and Murphy was poor, kept giving the ball away to easily.

Were all of you that went to the game pee'd off at Swindon for putting their youth team out?
I bet they didn't charge you youth team prices <ok>

Billy I cant comment on if we have improved........this is the first pre season I have been able to get to this year.
