Will the tour ending today really have benefited the swansea squad that much. Looking at the tour party, due to the world cupIwould say that approx half the squad have missed out. No Bony, JDG, Ki, Vorm, Williams returning early under strange circumstances and Ben about to join Spurs. So has it been worth it. In my opinion both Poz and Canas should have traveled and used the training camp to try to resolve the differences that they have. They are good players so every effort should have been made to resolve the issue. I believe Monk has been too quick to discard them, he took the easy option.

Why are we still banging on about Canas and Poz? Maybe, just maybe the problems are unresolvable. After all, Canas did feature in Monks first couple of games then he got frozen out so Monk must have had a good reason to do so.

Poz and Canas have been told to look for other clubs, allegedly.

Both Poz and the donkey could have travelled to carry the bags or be water boys, but if they did then they wouldn't have time to look for another club to insinuate themselves into.

Both being so good, of course, the announcement of their availability has been met with tumble weed and dust. Hope they keep looking hard, we don't need the extra ballast. Dead-weight both.....

.....and who says Monk discarded them? maybe they discarded us, which imo seems more likely particularly after their pequeña camarilla burst like the blister it was. Adiós amigos, good luck and fekk off.

Training camps allow bonds to be made and facilitate togetherness as well as push for stamina. They are not about the individual parts but about creating a whole. The fact some of our squad couldn't attend shouldn't be an issue at all.

Imo, one of the major benefits of this camp has been that it has given a few of our younguns priceless experience and opportunity. It has also given Monk a chance to measure them, which can only be be a good thing. Maybe Tenby next year will suit you sbub.

Well, before the tour I felt we will have a relegation battle on our hands this coming season, and nothing that has happened in the USA has made me change my mind. A draw and a defeat. Yes they are friendlies, but they are also friendlies for the other teams - and they were better than us. I don't see what this trip has achieved that couldn't have been achieved anywhere.

Every season we tend to have a very cagey pre-season tour followed by the usual, "we've looked awful this year pre-season. We'll go down for sure!"

Lacklustre defending in a friendly could be simply down to not wanting to get injured in a 'nothing' game before we enter the theatre of the Premier League.

You don't wanna get a flat tyre on the way to the racetrack.

Well unless you put it in, in the pre season and friendlies you wont be playing in the PL. You are right though tehy were only friendlies and this is the time to try and get a bit of match fitness. But we should be beating opposition like that by 5 or 6. But as you say piss poor defending, but dont dorget we created f** all in that match. Now that is a worry.

It just seems that because you are in the PL you have to go miles away for pre season. I wouldnt have thought that many people from Minnesota will be supporting us after watching how poor were. But stereo you are right why travel 1000's of miles to what you can do on your own doorstep.

Pre season is about squad bonding and getting match fitness/sharpness and trying a few youngsters out. The results mean nothing to me personally. Should we write Chelsea off because they went 2-0 down v Wimbledon and had to bring their big guns on to win 3-2?

But why do we need to go 1000's of miles to achieve that, doesnt make a lot of sense. yes Chelsea were 2 down, then scored 3. 2 games played 1 goal against poor oposition Valley. God do we need Bony to stay.

After what they have seen of our side and performance, I dont think they will have achieved that.

I can see an argument for going to America, but I really think they could go to France or Spain or Portugal or Holland or Belgium (you get the idea) and maybe more of the fans would be able to go a support them on a bit of a summer football jolly.

Maybe they want to get away from the fans for a while.

We have a manager who's' played at numerous levels in a defensive position and yet we're so poor at it , food for thought

Funny how our perspective is different. It's like we weren't even there!
