I'm currently in Northampton, and I watched this thunderstorm as it came up from the south. Four or five strikes per minute. It's just hit my location and the rain is like a wall of water coming down. No hail yet though. In short, it's wild, and it's heading north!
Tripod, long exposure, small aperture and if you get one, cover the lense for the rest of the exposure. Would like to see the results.
I really, really hope it drifts a little eastward and hits this part of Yorkshire... I ****ing love a good storm
Can't wait for it to hit. I've been sweating like a glass-blowers arse the last few days and I'm looking forward to some cleaner air.
My favourite ever tv moment!
She's old enough to be my mum, but I still would! Five from 100 is good going. Why only 100 though. Just keep taking shots and cover the lense if you think you got one. Oh, 30 second exposure at least.
No rain or owt yet, but just been to pick the mrs up from work and the lightning was furious, never mind 4 or 5 per minute there was that many every 2 or 3 seconds, each splitting the sky. A real storm.
Pah! We got nowt down here in Wimbledon. A little bit of rain and a couple of flashes. Was pretty ferocious last night though. Sweltering tonight. Still about 25 degrees!
