The obsession continues
"Everybody's got an explanation to do - probably HMRC, the people that pursued it - there's a lot of questions that now have to be answered."
Like why did HMRC want Tax they thought they were due?
Aye that's a real head scratcher.
****s hit me with a 330 note bill last week the ****s.
****s hit me with a 330 note bill last week the ****s.
Indeed it does, it's everyone else's fault that Rangers owed HMRC £21m.
Wait until the council catch up with you about the unpaid rent.
I'm private rented and the Council don't deal with social housing over here.
Is this the first double Mindy?
The worst of it is that Rangers fans can now convince themselves that their club is innocent of all charges (whether legal or moral) and are therefore validated in their belief that they're superior to everyone else.
I'm sorry, I'm not as familiar with the Northern Irish welfare state as you are.
RANGERS fans are proposing to surround Celtic Park with a "wall of blue" during the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
Supporters on social media websites have said that chants should be heard from inside the stadium as part of a demonstration, and that signs should be created that will be seen from the air, with pictures of the event to be beamed throughout the world. The proposal comes after HMRC lost its appeal in the so-called Big Tax Case this week. Fans have said the club was unfairly targeted by HMRC, setting off a chain of events which eventually saw Rangers liquidated and the club relegated to the fourth tier of Scottish football.
It is proposed that on July 23, fans will carry banners with messages including "Justice For the Rangers Support" and "We Demand Answers".
Chris Graham, a spokesman for the Union of Fans, said that while the plan had nothing to do with his organisation, he was not surprised to hear that supporters were looking to express their frustration.
"Over the past four years, it's been open season on the club and its fans, with allegations of cheating," he said. "It doesn't surprise me that fans want to vent their anger."
If fans wish to march as part of any demonstration, an application will have to be made to Glasgow City Council. However, they will not need permission for a static demonstration.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "The event will be policed appropriately."

You would think they would be happy at winning their tax case.
Absolutely unrealI have often compared the Rangers boardroom battles to the television series Dallas. I used to be a big fan of the original long-running soap and one of the most bizarre developments in television history happened with Dallas i.e. the death of Bobby Ewing and a subsequent series of story lines following this. Older readers will remember that this season was written off as a dream sequence after Bobby Ewing was re-cast an walked out of a shower.
This is more than a little like what it has been to be a Rangers supporter the past couple of years.
After the Big Tax Case decision the other day, it means that the events of the past few years have all been so unnecessary. Because of a heady cocktail of incompetence, spite and bigotry, Rangers were persecuted beyond any acceptable bounds – all in the name of sporting integrity. As a result, RFC had to become a completely different club, not as an entity but in composition. The best players had to leave and what was left was a shell, a greatly weakened shadow of the once-mighty institution. Those of us who are aware of the conspiracy behind all this know that this was the agenda all along. Rangers had to be hirpled, weakened and thrown into the bottom tier as part of the deal.
After the Bobby Ewing shower scene, Dallas lost a great deal of credibility. And after the last couple of years, many in Scottish football and public life have lost credibility because they let their masks slip to reveal anti-Rangers hatred and bigotry. Where is the credibility of the now laughable Mark Daly mockumentary on Rangers’ tax case? Where is the credibility of self-appointed Rangers “experts” like RTC blog and Phil Mac Downfall? Where is the credibility of all the journos who lambasted and denigrated Rangers as cheaters? Where is the credibility of certain club chairmen who gleefully put the boot in when Rangers FC was at its lowest ebb? Where is the credibility of the Scottish Government which turned a blind eye to the plight of Scotland’s most successful team in history?
I could go on but the list of people and organisations who queued up to kick a wounded Rangers would fill volumes. The point is, Rangers club and fans have had to live a surreal existence the past couple of years – all down to the bigoted and bloodthirsty persecution of the club’s haters. Unlike Dallas, Rangers fans have had to endure more than one season of pointlessness. Thankfully, though, the dream sequence is over. The nightmare has ended. Bobby Ewing has stepped out of the shower. The bad news for Rangers haters is that the history of Scotland’s biggest and most successful club goes on after a very surreal detour. We are coming down the road. The days of tainted titles will soon be over.
