with me being a wummin, I've shopped around. Lidl's is by far my favourite supermarket. They do brand names, which are a wee bit dearer but their meats, fruit and veg are excellent quality and very keenly priced.

I like the wee mad aisles they have too, selling all sorts of crap. This week, it's kilts n stuff :laugh:
 
I take advantage of the free opportunities that foraging in nature provides. I ransack Ray Mears' kitchen cupboards when he's out in the jungle.

Yes I can remember when they just opened they were flogging windscreen frost protectors in Malta, where it hasn't snowed since like 1906.
 
Tesco or Sainsbury ...

Local butcher for meat n chicken...

Local fishmonger for fish...
 
We do most of our shops in Tesco because there's little other choice - although some local meat is great quality. M&S is convenient and nice - but the fact they stock so much organic ****e puts me off - I don't want bugs ****ting all over my tomatoes, nuke the little ****ers.

Tesco are rip off bastards on wine <grr>
