why people say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and not puns is beyond me
 
How can any fan write any player off before he's kicked a ball, yeah he's only played in the dutch league and yeah hes a tall not very mobile player but he scores goals and to me thats what i want him to do. He will link up with Tadic very well and i personally expect him to get us 10-15 goals this season.

Exactly the same way fans can expect success before he's kicked a ball. Seeing negative opinions as invalid but positive opinions valid is a habit a lot of people here should get out of.

Touche, although my thoughts of him being a success are based on his goal scoring record, i'm pretty sure the people writing him off arn't experts on the dutch league and have more than likely never seen him play 90 miutes of football, its more likely the fact they play fm and are basing his success rate on his rating on there.
 
10 goals will be a success, 15 goals will be great, 20 will be a blinder.

depends whether he's taking penalties of course.

everyone makes a big song and dance about Bony but he only scored 12 from open play last season.

15 is what Giroud scored.

10-15 goals is a lot of goals to expect from anyone but an elite striker, really. Last year, that'd make him between the 9th to 17th best scorer in the PL.

I'm sticking to what I said previous: if he outscores his transfer fee (which looks to mean 7+ goals) I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I was thinking more total rather than just league. I agree league wise above 10 would be an amazing first season. However if Tadic is as good as his record implies he is then i'm pretty sure Andy Carrol could score a hatful with the kind of service Pelle can expect.

That's exactly what I mean, though. You just assume that everyone with a negative opinion doesn't have a valid opinion at all.
