Take it you're quite a beer festival man then?

T in the park for the full duration, also a holiday to Magaluf.

    Cannie wait for either.

Unfortunately probably gunna miss Leeds this year, I don't get back from Uganda 'till the 22nd and I'll be very skint, so unless by some insane stroke of luck a ticket lands in my lap, I'll only be watching it (Reading...typical) on the box!

    Aye, love me real ales.

Went to T in the park last year and it was best music fesitval I have been to in last few years. My first ever festival was about 13 years ago and it was the first Creamfields and was based in Hertfordshire (I think), paid £40 for the weekend and I only wanted to see Carl Cox and the ****er didn't turn up

I'l be honest, I'd rather drink my own treated piss then most ales.

I was wanting to go to creamfields as well but I cannot afford it, T will be my first big festival and Tom Jones is there, what more could you ask for?

Off to one in Amsterdam while I'm over there.
Wouldn't touch Leeds with a bargepole these days.
Went 07,08 & 09 for the full weekend and for the day last year and it's full of 16-18 year old kids getting completely polatic and causing trouble as they're away from their parents for the first time.
Went for the day last year and came across more dickhead kids!
I know they're not all like that but it's enough to put me off.

Went to see Chimpunk at a festival a few years ago and he never turned up and sent some lass to do a DJ set instead. Poor girl got a fair few bottles thrown at her!

Haha I bet - at the Creamfields festival Judge Jules was over an hour late and people were beginning to trash the tent, it was hilarious

Sounds similar to Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem a couple of years ago. The mainstage got waterlogged on the second day so a few acts were cancelled or unbeknownst to us the punters, moved to other stages and doing soundclashes or joint sets with other artists.
I went on to the Myspace bus and found one of them doing a DJ set to the empty bus as it was only supposed to be a crappy unknown, was really canny in the end but because the festival had been rained out the next year they went back to a day festival.

Favourite UK festival I've been to is Hop Farm Festival down near Tunbridge Wells. We got the tickets for a tenner on some promotion with M&M direct on the premise of seeing Etienne de Crecy, drove down there and he had cancelled, but still enjoyed the weekend as a whole and because the guy who runs it was the guy who used to help run Glasto, Leeds, Reading and one or two others it was so well ran!
There was actually portacabin loos (you know like the big ones that look like proper toilets inside), portaloos (little ones), portacabin showers and they had a sewage van come round every hour to empty them and then the guy would restock the loos with loo roll & clean out the shower blocks.
It was amazing how clean they could keep them all considering there was 30,000 people there.

Never been a festival go-er. Most of my free cash is taken up by going to the Belgian GP at the end of August, go on Friday and camp nearby until Monday. Free practice on Fri, qualifying on Saturday and all the support races and the main event on Sunday. Great stuff.
