They pick the very worst people they can find, its kind of a hatchet job really. Don't get taken in by it, as The Casual pointed out its the top of the tree that needs programmes and exposes, the tax evaders and avoiders who drain a ton more money than the miniscule amount of people fraudulently claiming welfare.

The extent of the way the system has historically pampered their fecklessness and positively encouraged it, thus creating a sub class with an inbuilt sense of entitlement never ceases to amaze me, when confronted with its full and extremely ugly reality

Tax evaders deserve exactly the same level of rebuke, but that's not a valid reason for defending the other end of the spectrum

Of course they go for the worst of the worst they can find as that's what their looking to expose ffs.

I think the likes of Tobes are why C5 gets away with broadcasting shows like this, there's always a few ready to vent a bit of hatred on somebody, deserving or undeserving

The point you keep missing is 99 percent of welfare claimants aren't like this. Do you read the Daily Mail and believe everything in it by any chance

This is how they can broadcast this kind of crap as people like Tobes have a picture painted in their head that conforms to the ridiculous stereotyped **** that gets aired

The biggest question we need ask why isn't there programs on bankers, high rate tax dodgers and MP's who give bias decisions to there pals?

I did feel sorry for that lad with the degree as I'm fairly sure I met him via my work once, I think part of his issue is that he has Asperger type traits, if he could get that diagnosed he might get the help he needs with employers. This is just my opinion and I wish him well in a world full of Tobes and their ilk

    99%? Really.....

    Behave yourself.

There's a damn site more than 1% of claimants who see their benefits as a right as opposed to the safety net which was the reason for its creation.

In the mid to late 90's this country should have achieved virtual full employment, but we still carried over 2 million spongers who just couldn't be arsed filling the vacancies that the Eastern European economic migrants were more than happy to fill.

Then people like you, defend the kind of racist idiot, who was shown tonight, 'white power' tattooed on the back of his thick skull, who no doubt spouts about immigrants 'taking our jobs' when he's never done a day in his life.

Meh, the spectrum is vast and there's wrong across all levels of it, but excusing one end while vilifying the other is ridiculous and I don't accept that obvious disparity

Oh right, so now you think you can pass judgment on my view on the employability of those with special needs? Go poke your faux morality up your ****ty hoop.

I came out of work 2 years ago after working all my life and paying my taxes and NI contributions (Am I a ****ing scrounger Tobes?) I'm now 60yrs old and have been told by a few prospective employers that they're looking for younger people even though this is illegal. Even though i've paid all my dues towards my State pension I can't retire yet so I can come off unemployment money, just the opposite. I've been told my retirement age is now 67, so I know i've possibly got another 7yrs of being lumped in with the true scroungers. Miss an appointment and you're threatened with being sanctioned, don't do enough to find work you're threatened with being sanctioned. The least little thing they can find wrong they'll sanction you.

There is some of us out there who genuinely want work but because of my age it's getting increasingly harder to find it and please don't give me this look harder ****. Until you've experienced it you haven't a clue.

I'm not defending those on the programme because I never watched it, just saying how it is with me.
