The 20-year-old is rated as one of the best young players in America - and he added to his reputation during the World Cup in Brazil, picking up an assist against Portugal and impressing versus Belgium. Reds scouts were already aware of Yedlin's abilities having followed him since the U20 World Cup in Turkey and they are now looking into a deal for the player. According to reports in America, Liverpool want the player to join them on trial over the summer with a view to a permanent deal later in the transfer window. Liverpool are looking to add to their defensive options and with Yedlin able to play right-back, left-back or as a winger, he would offer real versatility to the squad.
Yedlin has played a few world cup matches. He looks very exciting. Strong, athletic and loves to bomb forward.
