I was perhaps being facetious and you are right to a point, but I'd rather a player with C.L experience than one without. Make no mistake, Sanchez is a fine player and far above the level of players you have generally signed in the last few years (Suarez has obviously come good but was a risk at the time coming from a weak league).
of course he is, look at the ****e position we have been in, we done reasonably ok with Coutinho and Sturridge though, have to remember we cant or wont throw silly money around though, we are looking at players who want to play for the club so unfortunately a lot of quality is put off, and no cl to offer either. you initially had to throw money at the problem to get players to play for you, we are just trying to do it the hard way.
Not being critical, just shocked some of your fans seem to be questioning Sanchez as a signing. If he played for anyone else (baring maybe Madrid) there's no way he'd be being sold. He looked great in the world cup as well.
I've only just realised I'll miss the final as I'll be at the Echo Arena watching Neil Young and Crazy Horse
Paul young is better than Neil Young!! Every time you go.....away...... You take a piece of me.....with you.....
Don't think you will RHC. [h=1]Neil Young cancels Liverpool International Music Festival and UK tour[/h] http://www.peterguy.merseyblogs.co.uk/2013/08/neil-young-cancels-liverpool-i.html
Every time you go away, You take a piece of meat, with you.... You'll never hear that song the same again now, I promise you.
Fail. Last year, page. Mind you, when I saw the bass player from Crazy Horse had had a mild stroke, I thought it was happening again. All's well, though, they've drafted in a very able replacement and Billy Talbot will make a full recovery
Why so surprised? Perhaps some people here take a more informed view of both Sanchez's level of talent and his ability to truly add value to the squad. His World Cup was reasonable without being outstanding. I truly don't remember an occasion when I got a 'buzz' because he was on the ball. His club performances last season leave some room for doubt. Then you ask yourself what, apart from reputation, he truly brings to the party that we actually need at the present time considering the players and options that we have . For more than a few of us the answer is a big fat ? when it comes to Sanchez. Add to that the players own comments that he has no desire to join us and I begin to think its a non-starter for both parties. But I don't see any problem with Chelsea making an offer. He apparently likes London, he'd be joining a side that is made up of names rather than skill sets. So when's Maureen going to table a bid?
There were reports that he has a 30million release clause. That's not a lot for a player of his caliber. Im sure we can offer him much higher wages as well. The least we could do is put in a bid. Sanchez is just not good enough to fill in Luis's big boots. Reus is top top class, one of the few players who'd come close to filling the void.
