not so sure i believe the story about Sanchez agreeing personnel terms with arsenal. even though they are expected to qualify, they had no one that wanted to go there until they had qualified for CL, so why different now? also if we don't get Sanchez as part of any deal, not sure how we benefit in any way out of this. dont want to go on one, but i see similar to 08 happening here, finish 2nd good position to build on it and look what happened, so next season rather than hoping we have a chance of fighting for the title, we will be hoping we can at least finish in the top 4 again, what a ****ing mess, and all because of some **** who was on int duty as well. just have to trust the club i guess, we know they are not as stupid as the cowboys, so that's something.
We sell Barcelona Suarez, they need to sell Sanchez to Arsenal, leaving us to finish 5th next season. All a knock on effect. Don't worry we signed an average English midfielder.
I think Ayre needs to say Sanchez has to be part of the deal or **** off. If we end up with say £75mil - who the **** are we going to buy? Sanchez to Arsenal is just rumours at present - get Rodgers over there to talk to Barca and Sanchez FFS. Ayre is a nob head in situations like this.
From what I understand, and its difficult trying to sort the rumours from the BS, Sanchez wants to go to Arsenal and NOT Liverpool, but Barca would prefer him to go to Liverpool as a make weight in the Suarez deal because ultimately Liverpool are offering more money for him (ie more money off Suarez than Arsenal are willing to pay them), but the kink in the plan is Sanchez himself, who apparantly is adamant he wants to play in London. So I guess its a question of whether Barca and Liverpool can convince Sanchez that Liverpool is the place to go.
London is great and all but playing for Arsenal is a step backwards for him, same it was for Ozil. People can see what Liverpool are trying to build.
I wouldnt put Liverpool on any higher plinth than Arsenal to be honest mate, just my opinion. Arsenal if anything would be higher, they have been harder to remove from the top 4 than genital warts, they make it every year. Liverpool have risen from midtable to the CL last season, but without your talisman, its a big question mark as to whether you will remain imo. Arsenal will be there, as they are, every year. And they have won a trophy more recently too.
You have a point, I think some players will want to be more confidant that we can easily acheive top four or more every year before wanting to come to us, some players will know about Liverpool and understand the club more and choose us over Arsenal but some will look at recent history and think that Arsenal would be the better move. If the rumours are true about Sanchez I'd rather us look elsewhere, we want players that have a desire to play for us.
we all do , but we don't want more squad players or another Torres money situation, we will be losing a world class player, we replace that with average players just because they want to play for us, sorry not good enough.
I'd be really gutted if we missed a trick to really try and get sanchez as a prerequisite for this deal. The fact he looks like he will be going to f**king boring tiki taka goons is just salt in the wounds tbh. Can't we just show Alexis this? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25994878 And that our style is the one he ought to be playing, out on the wing feeding into studge.
Sanchez is a blind. He's not that good in the first place - merely a make-weight that we don not really need. Now the real deal is not being done by Ayre and the lads from Barca. The deal makers or breakers ore JH and the Pres. of Barca. Both have too much personal investment in the deal to really let the 2nd tier loose with this. So forget Sanchez concentrate upon how close LFC get to the buyout figure. Then pray that we spend the income wisely!
But with the kind of money we have top class players are available we don't have to make it Sanchez or nothing.
