No, I hadn't heard of him either.

Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Kay Voser from FC Basel on a two-year deal, with an option for a further year. The fee is undisclosed.

The 27-year-old defender signed for Basel in 2011. During his three seasons at the club, he helped them to three Swiss Super League titles and one Swiss Cup.

He started his senior career at Grasshopper-Club Zurich, making over 120 appearances between 2005 and 2011.

Last season, Voser made eight appearances in the UEFA Champions League which included two group match victories against Chelsea.

At 5ft 5, I'm assuming the lad is a full back. Any body here know anything about him?
 
Having a read on him it appears he can play at either right or left back! Hopefully he will do well he is at an age where he should be in his prime and is likely to go straight into the first team. Has won numerous domestic trophies with Basle playing in the champions league and gas represented every Swiss national team apart from the full senior squad ( u16, u18, u19, u21)

A Few sites suggest he is a right back who can play left back rather than mainly a left back, wonder if he has been bought as a right back and Hoogerland as a centre half
 
Potentially Felix is planning on playing with 3 CBs and 2 wing backs and using Voser as a RWB and Hoogland as a RCB with Burn/Hutchinson in CB, Amore LCB and Richardson as LWB

Makes a lot of sense guys. Voser is definitely very right footed.
