"He is on a five year contract and has a mentaluty that means he will always give of his best on tge pitch." Not on the pitch til November. Any CL appearances by then could be playing for a Europa slot. Barca OTOH are a CL KO shoo-in whenever Suarez is allowed to play. When the Poool are forced to sell, try to prevent the DFS payment plan being forced upon you.
'Pool are going to be well and truly ****ed without Goofy, next season. I'll go as far as to predict that they will be an embarrassment to English football. I'm so much looking forward to it!
They've already got Rakitic praising how great a player he is and that he showed a lot of character by admitting he done something stupid. Best of luck Pool, now you know how we felt for the past two (three if you include Chelsea's unsuccessful attempt) summers with Modric and Bale.
I'm hoping that Poch gets Lame-la and LOLdado playing to something near what they are each capable of. But that is all it is - hope. Of course, what ever happens with our (so far) failed signings, there is absolutely no guarantee that any of 'Pool's signings will, collectively, be a match for the loss of Goofy. We've seen just how ****e England was in the WC, proving to be the greatest embarrassment ever seen in English football, and we all know that England = LFC. By contrast, we saw how the Uruguayans, with Goofy in their side, took the absolute piss out of us, but just how ineffective they were without him. I really don't believe that you Mousers fully understand just how ****ed you are going to be without Goofy.
Lamela I have high hopes for, he's still very young, he's an Argie so will understand what Poch requires from him easily enough and we know that on his day, he's a fantastic player capable of becoming one of the best in Europe. Soldado unfortunately hasn't got time on side to improve much on and with Ade as his competition - plus any potential new striker - it's not looking too promising for him. Worst thing is, he looked a lethal finisher prior to joining us and if only we could get him to replicate that La Liga form we'd be laughing.
Luis Suarez: Barcelona to open talks over Liverpool striker http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28112887
Let's see what else they can get him to apologise for first. Tell him no contract until he apologises for Futurama being cancelled, 2 Broke Girls not being cancelled, and Halle Berry winning an Oscar.
Well done on getting there before the link was removed. I don't even want to know why it was removed!
Pool, like us last season with Bale, seem to be spending the Suarez money in advance of his departure, and like we did, are paying over the odds for decent players. Will they misfire as our new lot did with so many new comers or will it all click for them? Should be interesting.
World governing body Fifa says Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, 27 will be allowed to train during his four-month ban from "all football-related activity". (Source: Guardian) Hm. Seems like Barca has a bit of influence over FIFA! Notice how the headline doesn't say " Uruguay and Liverpool striker."
Dogger Stan has tweeted that reports in Spain are suggesting a deal for Goofy has been agreed for £63m, which equates to 80m euros. That is a good deal for the Mousers, they have proper mugged Barcelona off there.
Looks like they've blown the best part of that £63m on Saints players. Not really a proper substitute for Goofy, is it? Your average Mouser will still bet his shirt on 'Pool winning the league, but the few clued-in Mousers will count themselves fortunate if they manage top half of the table.
