Q: What about the football remarks? A: I am Scottish. I am also British. I am not anti-English, I never was... what happened was a little joke that went wrong. It was the time of the 2006 World Cup and England were due to play Paraguay. Tim Henman and I were being interviewed and before we started the journalist asked Tim about England's chances in the World Cup and asked me who I would be supporting. He was making the point that Scotland weren't there. I got the joke. I laughed. We did the interview and the last question was: "Who will you be supporting?" Remembering our previous banter, I just said: "Whoever England are playing, ha ha." I had a smile on my face. It was obvious I was joking. It wasn't reported like that. They made up stories about me buying a Paraguay shirt, the whole thing was absolute nonsense.
I hold my hands up! As daft as it sounds I do actually remember that coming out now you mention it. Although I have also seen an interview with him when he was talking about the incident and saying he's a lot more grown up now than he was then and saying he regretted saying what he did. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion anyway aren't they and I just don't like him period.... it was never just about what he did back then. And above everything it's the people who big him up and make him out to be something he isn't all because he's 'British' that really ****s me off!!!
Don't upset your English paymasters or else... In truth hopefully now the English can get a taste of what the rest of us have to suffer with the countless number of over hyped English sports 'stars' being shoved in our face as heros before every single competition they enter. Lewis Hamilton, Amir Khan, Tim Henman, the entire England football team every 2 years and next month that **** David Haye - all flops I have to endure being hyped to oblivion despite the fact I really couldn't give a flying **** about England.
Oh no, some random on an internet forum does'nt like Andy Murray. I'm sure he'll be devastated that he's only No4 IN THE WORLD.....while he counts his money laughing at you.
It's fair comment. I wanted Laura Robson to do well and when she was 4-0 up was cheering a British girl doing well - after she lost I regard her as a useless Aussie bitch.
Whilst your point is completely valid, Khan, Hamilton and Haye aren't actually flops. On topic though, I hope Murray wins the lot. He won't this time be hope to **** he does soon enough and couldn't care a **** whether he's a Scot or not. He's a Brit.
