I never said Sterling was rubbish. I said I don't think he will ever be as good as Lallana is now. The amount of passes that come into Lallana behind him or at far too much pace that he just controls as if it were the perfect pass to him. Every game there will be 2,3,4 instances where he has no right to come away with a ball but he changes his feet quickly, sometimes altering his stride whilst running and makes it look so easy. His control is immense, his awareness of others immense, his dribbling immense.

Sterling isn't a bad player and will improve. I just don't think he will improve to be able to be compared to Lallana in terms of what Lallana can bring to the game.

Now that doesn't mean I think he will be selected ahead of Sterling (if he is pitched against him which the Liverpool guy says is unlikely) because as we know we tend to think more of our homegrown than those that aren't :)

Sterling is better than Adam @ 19, yes. But I don't think he will be able to add the control, awareness to a level that Adam has reached and I would also suggest that Adam is much better at dribbling due to the control he has.

I hope the **** bearded little gnome squeaky voiced twat loses the kop really quickly and ends up at QPR or West HAm the weasly little lying ****er.....even if he is rather a good player :)

Is he not gone yet?? Can't they do these transfers on Sundays? We need to spend the money.

This is the heart of the argument. No one is denying that they are both very good footballers. But (it seemed to me) some people were implying that Sterling will progress at the same rate as Lallana did, despite them being a different style of footballer. This is the only thing I disagree with. I totally agree with you in that I don't think Sterling will be as good as Adam in five years. I hope to God that he is, for the benefit of England. I also feel Lallana will continue to get better. Again, I hope so for the sake of England. I don't really care about his recent behaviour if I'm honest. People get too emotionally attached to these young men.

Anyway, as before, let's move on.

Adam going. When it is obvious it is happening, I want it over so we can move on. Tie a bow round his neck (as tight as you like) and present him to them. I hope we announce signings today (Pelle and coaching staff) to off set it a bit.

I hope this one goes through today as reported, I'll be a happy man he's a good player and will strengthen our squad. I hope we also come in for Lovren.

Lots of money for you to spend on replacements.

He'll cost you another £20mill.

I hope you finish 5th, and exit the CL without winning a game, but hey, you don't always get what you want.

Go develop someone yourself.... it is quite rewarding.
