Yeah, I hope so too - providing they're of the right calibre and potential. Looking at the financial situation at both of those clubs, it may have been a case of not having much choice, as much as anything else.
gossip are saying Whinger done an impression of RVP's diving header, prehaps he tripped over a water bottle
Do not buy players based on their performance at the World Cup! Sorry, nothing to do with anyone else's comments. Just thought I'd mention it.
Finally Suarez admit's that he did bite Chellini (?),but vows it won't happen again.probaby means he will bite someone else
Lallana's completed his Pool move. £25m... Unbelievable really. Like I said in a previous message, Soton have received more for Lallana and Shaw - who have a combined 12 caps for England between them - than AC Milan did for Thiago Silva and Zlatan, one currently regarded as the best CB in world football by many and the other one of the best strikers/ players to grace the game in recent history.
Absolutely spot on, and put another way Lallana (with his huge wealth of international and european experience) costs Liverpool as much as Man City paid for WC and double EC winner David Silva! The premium for buying English is now just madness
Maybe Lallana will prove to be worth the fee. But £25mil an expensive punt on a player with so little top class experience.
Englands "future" now resides on Merseyside. Lallana, Sturridge, Sterling, Barkley, Flanagan.......Hendersen Edit:......and Stones!
Just makes no sense why Liverpool would agree to value Lallana at that price, I like the bloke, good player but for £25m you can get a real game-changer for that who's borderline/ potentially world class. It's not as if Pool are in dire need of home-grown talent either.
If Lailana was a Spurs player, we'd all be saying the Poool had got Levyed. They paid what the Saints wanted, and deemed it a price worth paying. Time will tell.
I think Lallana's worth the money... or as worth the money as you can be in modern football. English players are always more expensive as they're much more marketable, if they become an England regular, and if Downing can get 30+ England caps I'm sure Lallana can too. If you ignore the premium on English players I think a player that's proven he can play in the Premier League and give the performances je jas then I think he's worth £15mill of anyone's money(that's just what the top teams pay for a squad player these days).
