Mouser Watch #2

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, May 26, 2012.

  1. Barcelona are still interested in Liverpool striker Suarez and are ready to offer an £80m player-plus-cash deal that could include wingers Alexis Sanchez, 25, and Pedro, 26
    (Source: Daily Mirror)

What Barca isn't saying is that they want £79 million for those two (unbanned) players, with £1 million cash for Goofy.

I assume get Real Madrid will see this as a chance for a cheeky punt on the transfer fee
(they will demand DFS payment terms whatever the cost) .

  3. The four-month suspension from all football has given Barcelona hope that they get Suarez for around £50m.
    (Source: Daily Mirror)

However, the Reds insist they will not let Suarez leave on the cheap despite his punishment.
    (Source:Daily Star)

The English media is going to crucify Goofy. He didn't like it last time, and he'll hate it this time. I've said all along that he won't be at 'Pool next season. I thought £60 million was a fair price for him. Now, Goofy will put in a transfer request and 'Pool will be forced to take what ever they can get for him. If Barca did offer as much as £50 million, 'Pool should... er... bite their hand off.

Just when you thought the Uruguayan FA were making a collective arse of themselves...

Liverpool have joined Uruguay in considering legal action against Fifa after striker Luis Suarez, 27, was given a four-month ban from all footballing activity for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.

Whilst I'm no lawyer, I suspect that legally the Mousers may have a point. As Suarez was on international duty when he decided to have Italian for his snack, they will argue that why should they, Liverpool be punished too.

I hear that Pool are changing Saurez's number next season to K9,and he wanted to play Germany, so he could try a shoulder of Lahm

  8. 'Pool have the right to sack Goofy. That they choose not to do that is up to them.

Cantona's ban was for domestic and international football, so there's precedent. I guess they can thank Man Utd for that!

Equally, why should Diverpool benefit from having this serial cheat, racist and cannibal playing for them. Also, why should PL footballers be subjected to the prospect of being bitten while going about their work and have to witness Goofy degrading the English game.

Sewerez has escaped countless bookings and red cards for his deliberate bad tackling, diving, feigning of injuries and general cheating in the PL, due to referees giving Liverpool players the benefit of doubt, this ban is only what he has deserved and accrued over a period of time, some would say a little bit of justice has been done.

I would imagine (though only a prospective lawyer!) that LFC will be looking at:

    - Anything in Suarez's contract allowing Liverpool to stop/minimise Liverpool paying his wages/bonuses/sponsorship OR allowing redemption for them
    - Any way to claim damages for wages/prospective earnings from FIFA for Suarez
    - Anything making FIFA's act ultra vires or loopholes etc.

No harm mate but this sort of thinking is why not everyone should be a judge <doh>

  12. I think Goofy got off lightly. He should have got the full 2 years permitted under FIFA's rules. This was a clear premeditated assault. If he'd done that off the field, he would have been arrested and charged with assault. Given his previous form, he would probably be looking at a custodial sentence.

  13. Would you like to see Goofy escape punishment due to a loohole, Yoda?

It seems the Mousers anger is being directed at FIFA and the media etc, when it should be directed at Sewerez for letting them down time and time again on an epic scale.

That is justice, but do it and he's definitely gone.

  16. Goofy clearly sees that he has done nothing wrong.

Surely, even blinded and biased Mousers must see that that is a major problem?

  19. I like the idea of being judge, jury, and executioner.

    A bit like Judge Dredd.

Except that I'd be Judge HIAG, and a far more deadly judge than that pussycat, Dredd.
