Shaw's always come across as humble to me. Very generous to supporters and very professional. Common sense, maybe not, but not a bad character.

If we sell Lovren for a hefty fee then you can't complain. He's a great player and I would much rather he stayed, but every player has his price I guess and he's signaled his intent to leave with the transfer request. Annoying that he goes after only one season and has used us as 'rebound' club, but this is the way these days, like it or not.

Getting all this money though, in one way is good I guess. Hopefully we can reinvest and get some good players in to replace the ones that leave. But I hope it's not too many more. For quite a few seasons now we have just added to the squad and replaced the few that have left. No major surgery was required, but it may be quite a hard task for Ron to assemble and gel a radically different first team quickly so that we can hit the floor running when the new season starts.

In the last five seasons it's quite incredible how we have managed to hang onto our key players. I can think of only Chamberlain who has gone (not inc Rickie). I think we were just lucky and it's pay back time

I don't see his lack if humility or common sense stopping him from continuing his very good progress. He will be England's left back for years to come. He is going to be a star for united. IMO

And alienating a few people on the way. I will re-post this when happens

I'm not sure what you're getting at to be honest? He may well alienate some people. My point is that I believe he is and will be a fabulous left back. I'm not referring to any personality traits, just how good he'll be as a player.

Yep I agree, I think he will be a cracking player, and possibly a tad embarrassing for whatever team he plays for. That was my point

Potentially; it's rather unfortunate that it's happening all at once, because we're not going to have much continuity. It's a good thing that we have a relatively mild opening couple months, as we did last year, because we're going to have a team getting to know one another on the fly.

As every one is in here. Origi is close to signing for Liverpool apparently.
