I thought he would have been a good buy when Malky was after him, still think he could to a job for us.
Another ex Man U player. Ole certainly likes to surround himself with players he knows. Not sure of Eagles though loads of flair but has lacked end product. As others have said, shouldn't we be looking to bolster defence and defensive midfield if Caulker and Medel are to leave?
Eagles was a good player a few seasons back and could do a good job if he can get his form back. Why not..
He's the sort of player we need. I've liked him as a player but don't think he really progressed after his early days with Burnley. With the number of players we'll turn over this summer, I don't think we'll come flying out of the blocks. Too many new faces to bed in.
He'll do a better job that Tommy Smith for example but agree with BluefromBridgend that a defensive midfielder and centre back are vital acquisitions. Philips makes the same point in this link. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-could-swoop-former-7311561 ps. Wonder if Mason may be going the other way; just a thought?
I hope we'd get more for Mason than we'd have to pay for Eagles (given he'd be a free). Mason has more potential and is possibly a better player but given the strikers we have, Eagles might be more the player we need more out of the two.
