What an end to end game this is. It's so refreshing to see two teams, who haven't got a long tradition in the game, going all out to try to win and entertain. Compare this with the cautiousness and predictability associated with the England performances.

personally I wouldnt call the game England against Italy cautious or predictable, I thought we played well and should of had a point atleast with Sterling having a blinder of a game. The game against Uruguay was always going to be difficult but imo in previous tournaments we have played much much worse and progressed to the knockout stages. There are quite a few positives to take from this tournament, im just not sure if Hodgson is capable of managing a squad of attacking players like we have and imo if Redknapp had been managing this world cup for us we would probably be sitting on 4 points now with costa rica to come. The FA chose a yes man instead of the best man for the job.
