RANGERS are poised to snatch Kris Boyd from the clutches of Aberdeen.

SunSport can reveal the hitman opened negotiations with Light Blues chiefs last night over a sensational return to Ibrox.

Again, just like Kenny Miller, this would be a sensational signing given where we are at the moment.

As I said previously, it's all about horses for courses and in that division they'd be like Nijinsky and Brigadier Gerard.

Hope this happens..... <party>

The Sunday Post also running with the story.

It can be revealed the 30-year-old striker has opened negotiations with the Ibrox hierarchy in the past 24 hours.

Light Blues boss Ally McCoist, who had been cool on the deal, has decided to pursue the option of signing the SPL’s all-time leading goalscorer after giving it serious consideration with his backroom staff.

Boyd has other options to look at, mainly from Aberdeen, Dundee United or re-signing with current club Kilmarnock.

However, it’s understood that the lure of returning to Rangers and helping the club back to the top flight appeals greatly to the hit-man.

The Rangers fans are also delighted at the prospect of Boyd wearing their jersey next season.

He will sit down with his family and representative in the next 48 hours and discuss in detail all the options open to him.

But Rangers appear to be in the driving seat, and talks over terms will continue today and tomorrow.

Mon The Krissy..... <party>

Talking to a guy in the pub about this last week ( Rangers supporter - I don't talk to tims ) and he says he disny want Boyd anywhere near Rangers.

I just can't get my head round why any Rangers fan wouldn't want the SPL's all-time leading goalscorer back at the club ?

Confused Loyal.

Stevie May ?

You drunk mate ?

The point I'm making is that up and coming Scottish players such as May at Saints and Robertson and Gauld at United are out of our reach.

Yet here we have the all-time leading goalscorer in SPL history apparently desperate to sign for his boyhood heroes and we have Rangers fans saying " Aw naw no him "

What the f*uck is wrong with these people ?

Maybe they understand that a club facing possible financial ruin shouldn't be signing players past their best on SPL wages.

Boyd's arguably a better all-round player now than he ever was so he's certainly NOT past his best.

He's 30 year old. He was hardly the most mobile **** when he was 20. And he'll have no sell on value. **** it, if Rangers want to sign over-the-hill players with no sell on value and give them big wages who am I to argue?

Enjoy it while it lasts.
