If Ferrari are so desperate for the field to be levelled then they should start by lobbying for teams to get an equal split of the pie and then add winnings to that. Not a select few getting money just for turning up whilst the rest are left to compete with a handicap. When the F1 payouts have situations like Lotus winning the WCC yet still getting less than a 10th placed Ferrari, something is up!
I wasn't talking about new teams. My opinion on that has always been the same. Give them a fairer share of the coffers.
They already have the biggest unfair advantage. If they are pushing to have that removed then they have my support that they really do have F1's best interests at heart. I still wouldn't support major changes after 1 season though, it'll just start the whole problem all over again.
Ferrari have more opportunity and more experience to win than any other team on the grid, but they fail due to poor management and their desire to be 'Italian' rather than hiring the best of the best.
......by constantly moaning about the rules every time they design a poor car ............. Most teams try and design a better car than the others to win. Ferrari just try to influence the rules when they lose.
wow what an mature and professional insight, i can't believe they never thought of that, maybe you should just tell them how and we might yet get a worthwhile race or two out of the season.
no ideas then? i noticed all you've done is shot other peoples ideas down and provided few to none of your own, oh i wonder why...

My idea (as explained a few times now) is to not have knee-jerk reactions and allow the field to settle down as it always does without another big rule shake-up that may achieve nothing other than create exactly the same scenario with one team dominating.
Alonso has agreed now http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/114518 not that it's really worth mentioning here, or trying to address the points he made.
He's agreed, but only added that he thinks KERS boost and tyres should be sorted. We already have DRS for overtaking and KERS was a weapon that could be used to overtake or defend, so not so sure how much benefit that would have being brought back. Tyres have been played with for years, and at no time has a happy compromise ever been found to the agreement of all teams. See last year for that after they changed the tyres mid-season. RBR were uncatchable and there was nothing the other teams could do about it. Until then we had a 4 way fight for the WDC and a mid-season change ruined it. The only thing that may change the course of this year, is if they change the tyres again this season and just hope that Mercedes have issues with them that drags them back to the rest of the field. That is all that can be done this year, even then there is no guarantee it would work. I just laugh when it's Ferrrari complaining about domination, when 10 years ago they thought it was fine and justified.
To be honest Ferrari are right in what they are saying, but what will they do to level the field Also we have Ferrari#2 (Red Bull) who are also taking a large slice of pie and expecting levelness. + others. TBH the teams have too much power but no union of one voice to agree ideas. I also believe the fans should have the largest say on what the sport should be because without the fans you would have no racing. And Bernie I mean Hardcore fans not fair weather fans with money But It appears the fans cant agree either so there is no hope.... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
