What mistake 'mate'? I know they'd beat England though quite why you think thats important is beyond me!!! Spain have been crap in this tournament and this match. The OP is SPAIN V CHILE, not Spain over the last 10 years, so why don't you admit YOUR mistake and move on 'mate'? In case you need further evidence: Played 2, lost 2, goals for 1, goals against 6. World beaters, I'm sure you'll agree.
Think he started the season very well, but when Mackay left I'm not sure he was used right combined with poor team performances. Remember him being man of the match when they beat Man City with him marking/harassing Silva and Toure out of the match.
Technically Australia could still have gone through had Spain won tonight I believe so Spain and Oz go out simultaneously.
They could face Brazil in the next round. Even if they do I'm not too sure that Brazil will be able to handle 'The Red Hot Chile Pressure.'
