Morning all.... Cellino junior is going to take a hammering the moment we hit a bad run. Give the new guy a chance but hardly exciting news to sell season tickets and what does it say about future signings, all free transfer?
Great so he produces players who are always injured. Cellino junior has a point, but I can't remember an owner who with his first major action makes us a laughing stock (a feat even Bates and Krasner did't quite manage). I just wonder if there is a director of football coming into the set up. Cellino will not be at ER day to day so he wont be "the manager" in any normal sense so I am hoping he is putting a link man in.
Morning Elland. Give the new guy a chance whomever that may be, but having said that, Hockaday is a MASSIVELY underwhelming appointment. Personally don't think he'll take the team forward at all.
New broom and we'll have to get used to the way Cellino operates. Yes it could go Pete Tong and we end up with another Vincent Tam, but by all accounts Cellino knows what he's doing. He's found a huge black hole in the accounts thanks to Bates and Haigh, which needs some serious plugging with his own money. Lets give the new regime the benefit of the doubt until we see us going backwards. Cellino understands that the big money is in the prem, so he won't be happy spending too long in this league. Everyone is underwhelmed by the appointment of Dave, but we were all chuffed with our last 4 managers and look what that did

I've got to laugh or i'll cry to be honest. To get in the premier league, you need either to have a load of decent youngsters coming through up at TA (thats err closed) and a decent coach/manager, or invest in a decent squad and/or decent manager/coach. He may well know where the big money is, but he's got to put plans in place to get us there. He's currently putting plans in place to take us back to league one. I wouldn't care if he was putting plans in place that took us 3 years, as long as you could see what he's doing. He's sticking somone in who will be here a matter a few months tops, then what? More change and we'll be down near the bottom. The next manager comes in and inherits a squad that isn't his, that Dave and Massimo put together, and probably won't include the likes of McCormack, Byram and Mowatt. At best they'll be dissillusioned, if they're still here at all. And anyone that thinks we couldn't get relegated again, too bloody right we could.
Ristac what has Hockaday got to do with who we sign? Sweet fa Cellino has already said he will get the players in and deal with contracts. He got some good players in at his last club and i expect him to do the same here eventually. Cellino may be unpredictable but he's no mug. As for Hockaday as Doc says give the guy a chance, the so called done it all before managers were total failures. If he is that bad Cellino will soon drop him.
Morning York, I can kinda see it. If a player is being chased by a host of clubs, the Manager would play a big part in who he signs for, surely?
Chillax fella, i doubt very much the players think anything like our drama queen fans. The only players leaving will be the one Cellino doesn't want or the ones who command a fee.
