What a finish.... Missed it but proper test match cricket there. 5 days and comes down to the last ball!

5 days sat, waiting for the last 2 hours to be interesting and it still ends as a draw.

No, I'd have never guessed.........
As it is, I was half joking, I find test cricket (barring the Ashes) largely for the purist, but to those with a passing interest in the game, it's tedious to follow across 5 days.

what about those that do, but find it boring to follow for 5 days?
reason why 20/20 and one dayers etc have got cricket back on the map. like already said test cricket is for the purist or for people with nothing better to do (ie old normally), where as 20/20 and one dayers are what they are, over in a day and normally good cricket and beer flowing.

Test Cricket always will be the best form of the game!
in short... it is patently obvious that 20/20 and even one day is "santised" where basically the ball is tossed in a very narrow region to enable scoring. its not bowling.
test cricket is a far higher level of skill both bowling and batting... IMO.
sure you can have a LONG time between wickets and many maidens and such but equally there's 40 wickets to be taken in 5 days.
I actually have eached the poitn where 20/20 and test are more relevant than 50 over game...

I prefer rounders
as long as its not basebell. that would require me asking for a 24 hour ban as RHC will go mad.

Baseball? God no! I was obviously just taking the piss though. Tennis is the better sport to watch for the reason you suggested
