They seem to be linked with everyone, even though they have already signed 3 or 4 players. Where are they getting their money from? I didn't realise their owner was that rich?
I fully expect its all loans and overdrafts in a similar fashion to how Pompey funded most of their transfers and wages. Probably a false economy, usually is where Sven is involved. He shouldn't even be allowed to work in England after the farce at Notts County, but as well all know, these parasites that infest football only for the money they can bleed out of it, always go unpunished.
They got taken over by very rich owners who want to splash the cash whereas we have even richer owners, but who don't use our club as a status symbol or get rich scheme.
True. But Leicester and their owners are showing intent that they want to win the division. I cant say the same for Saints at the moment
I've never understood how you can get rich quick from football unless you asset-strip a club for all its worth and then sod off. Leicester are owned by some very wealthy Indians I believe. If they want to buy the league then that's their lookout, but we shouldn't try to compete with our chequebook. All they have proved so far is that they have lots of money, the league is so competitive that any number of teams could succeed.
They are Thai owned. But remember, Milan Mandaric has a long and successful record of selling his clubs to people with not the funds they said they have (apart from the up front payment to Mr Mandaric of course).
The guy who owns Leicester took over fully late last season - comes from the Far East, could be Korean or somewhere near by He owns all the shopping rights to the airports (duty free etc) in the half the world, owns large chains of 5* hotels, conference centres, office blocks etc - absolutely loaded and has massive plans for the further development of Leicester as a club with plans to develop the ground to 40k+ capacity with hotels, conference centre, shops etc Apparently they are linked with 12+ players and are prepared to pay top wack both in sign ons and wages - watch this space. Source - I work in Leicester with lots of Foxy fans, they are buzzing at the moment Dark Lord
By buying a team good enough to get promoted take the 90mil, or as much of it as possible, for getting into the prem and sell the club for as much as you can
They'll be fine as long as the owners are in charge, but how long before they get fed-up and bugger off if they don't succeed. We're doing the sensible way with sensible spending and making the club sustainable. The wages at Leicester must have been through the roof last season.
