Roy has done everything right except keep that ****ing joker Rooney around. I really want to see that waste of space, constant disappointment and excuse machine dropped for the next game.

Is Wilshere a regular for Arsenal btw? All he did was run into 2-3 defenders and get dispossessed constantly. Give me a Nolan type that can at least make a clever pass to get through a packed defense than Wilshere whose only contribution was to blindly run into the Italians. It's no wonder Arsenal can't open up organized defenses with that clown on the pitch.

Not great, he was very poor positionally, got caught up field a lot. It was his fault that Japan scored, he just sort of wandered off.

There were three guys all near Honda - including Yaya Toure - and none of them picked up on his run. The other centre back was well out of position in the middle too, it was terrible all round by Ivory Coast.

Have to say Rooney should be dropped.

Undeniably a great talent - its fair to say he's a massive waist of potential. This will be his last World Cup (Probably) and he should be running/fighting like a madman to finally make an impact at a big International tournament. Instead its the same old Rooney we always see for England - average.

Barkley or Chamberlain would offer the team more pace/enthuesiasm

Koscielny and Giroud not starting for France tonight. Koscielny is injured and I dunno about Giroud.

The game was over by the time he came on, the last 10 minutes was nothing but fouls
