I'm going to keep posting on it, because it's attracting a lot of readers, and I don't want them thinking this is a reliable rumour. Even if what he wrote in the body of his post is honest (and it very well could be), the title is deliberately misleading, and the right thing to do at this point would be to merge it with one of the existing threads about managers.
Fair point about merging. May be a dodgy title but he's clear second favourite now. Odds have come in considerably from yesterday.
Point is, Koeman's on the drift. Still clear favourite, but he can be backed at 6/4 on Betfair. That's because, unlike bookmakers, layers on the exchanges don't have any liabilities to protect. so the Betfair market responds far quicker than the bookies, who these days just follow the exchanges anyway, but more slowly in a mature market.. And the betting exchanges are a pretty accurate method of predicting outcomes - just ask Nate Silver.
Still clear favourite. To passers-by who have come across this thread with a quick Google, to those who aren't as familiar as us with internet forums and who are perhaps more easily duped, they have just read a thread title which essentially claims Claudio Ranieri is the new Saints manager. It's deceitful and irresponsible whatever way you look at it.
I don't know about the other 34 but I'm only here to see what you're going to say next To be honest I do sympathise with your point though, this is pretty baseless and it could probably have been put in the "who do you want?" thread.
When a ****ty rumour comes up on here which we don't like the sound of, watch everyone take it seriously. I don't care if you just think I'm being grumpy or whatever, this site has always been good at filtering the reliable rumours from the baseless ones, and I don't want to see it turn into another football-rumours.co.uk or any of those other "I heard from my cousin's friend's gardener" rumour sites. This thread has no credibility and should either be re-written with more information or it shouldn't exist. I'll happily kill time at work repeating that on here. And here's a more appropriate analogy for you: millions watch Crossing Over with John Edwards. How many of them believe the ****er can talk to dead people?
