Morning Guys Not sure if you've seen this on the Wales on-line website, they are running a poll for a different shirt to be made next season. The shirts will be made by Kukri Sports and £5 from each shirt will go to Ty-Hafan. Have a look, I quite like them. Prefer number 2, but number 3 seems to be winning at the moment. There all blue and have the CCST crest on them. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-four-alternative-blue-7229762
That's a non starter for me, too many there who think they are fans leaders but only a few 100 members.
Have to agree Dai - if there's one thing we don't want, it's another bloody shirt war. There's been enough of that already. Freedom of choice is one thing, but sticking an alternative club shirt with no official backing in the stands isn't going to help anything.
I can only guess who is behind this..but we all know the answer. This is just bully boy tactics from those who think they know what everybody else wants. As they say ' I am definately Out for this sad idea '
It's not the usual suspects behind this idea. It's come from Phil Jones, trust member and long standing supporter. (I've never heard of him, anyone else?) Personally think it's a good idea, raising money for charity and giving fans an option of what shirt to wear. The home kit will probably be red again and who knows if we will even get a blue option this year
That's the one good thing about it and was probably the "hook" it needed to even get it off the ground. If people want to support Ty Hafan (and they should anyway without having to buy a shirt), they could always send them a fiver.
Oh well I hope this Phil Jones has thought this through. I have to ask who is making the profit on the sales, as surely it is taking money off the club we all support. I think it is an absolutely shyte idea. Its just another way of trouble making and creating dis harmony amongst the supporters, people get ridiculed for wearing the Red replica shirt, lord knows what it will be like next season.
I despair at this enduring saga which IMO took much off our foray into big time football last season. There was not half as much public display at matches in the previous season. I personally want to see City play in blue in every game and wore a blue replica shirt when the weather permitted at CCS but I am more concerned at the actual football. City fans who are anti Tan are so one eyed; without him City would have been most unlikely to have got to the PL. Are they really being truthful when they say they would prefer City to be playing lower league football? Ok some have voted with their feet but how many in reality as a percentage of the fan base? A football club is a commodity that can be bought and sold and the owner has the right to do with it as he wishes, even though some of his actions ie the rebrand, was a public relation disaster. and should never have happened but happen it did and so surely all fans should try and ignore the rebrand saga however unpalatable it is, and fully support the team.
Masky you naughty boy. You should remember the ancient mantra, "Do not take the pi$$ as a smack in the gob often upsets".
It really is about time some common sense was brought to all of this. As City fans surely we all want the club to succeed and in the short term the pinnacle of this will be returning to the Prem by getting promoted again next season. We should put all the blue/red bollox behind us and concentrate on supporting OGS and the team.
I'm guessing the profits will be going to Kukri Sports who are making the shirts? There selling them for £27 for adults. I'm not anti tan, him leaving the club at the moment would do far more harm than good. Would love to see city playing in blue but will fully support them next season regardless what colour they play in I just personally prefer to wear a blue shirt to the games.
City fans should wear whatever colour they chose to games. Blue is by far the most popular now but we all support the team on the pitch at the end of the day.
Absolutely spot on - and those wearing any particular colour shouldn't be abused by those that prefer another.
Couldn't agree more Spark. Though I have heard that some of the red shirters are fiery buggers and easily upset.
Glad someone saw my comment as light hearted. Look if people want to wear a particular colour so be it. If they want to wear red or blue or even pink sequins it is a personal choice. Though I don't think Billy The Badge is doing the sequin range this summer. Storm in a tea cup.
