Am I missing something here? What do you mean "you lot"? That's an article that someone found on the Net slating both our Clubs. What d'you mean "you lot"? I didn't write the fu*king thing!
Don't think Proud was having a go Swords, he did say don't worry about them relegating 'us'. I think that the message was meant to say you guys shouldn't worry about any of the crap in the article affecting either club
What I meant was you lot even discussing. The article really isn't even worth talking about. It was clearly written by a 10 year old. Probably Charles
Why just mention Leicester and QPR? Forest were among the biggest spenders and they haven't got promoted so are still under the power of the FL. As your pointed out, we have made obvious strides to comply with FFP while other clubs haven't. QPR are very lucky they got promoted and are now out of the hands of the FL. As you say, will be interested to see what happens when they get relegated.
Forest spent big last year they spent around 6M. QPR would have been in a world of trouble if they didn't win the play offs so luckily for them they did. While I agree with FFP but I don't agree with the severity of the sanctions. Because they went ott with them it means they won't be able to impose them properly as QPR should now go and get fined 40 to 50M. They will certainly appeal that and I can't see any court in the land agreeing with the football league that QPR need to pay a fine of that scale. They should have went with smaller fines, transfer embargoes and if you break FFP for 3 consecutive season you will get a 10 point deduction
Well lads, I said to you fellas when it looked like you'd win promotion that I felt you'll be fine next year provided you keep the core of your squad together and just make a small number of additional signings with quality (at the time it didn't look like we'd be joining you), so how's it going so far in that regard? I presume Pearson knows that in order to keep your momentum and strong team spirit going into next season, that wholesale changes are the last thing you should do. Do you think he'll keep your team together?
Pretty much, yes. KP taken coaching role, Lloyd Dyer looks like he is off to Watford, and Nugent still in discussion over a new contract. Released players who did not, nor never would make the match day 18. Brought in a quality reserve keeper, replaced Lloyd with Albrighton, and experience in Upson. We are obviously after at least one more striker (Ulloa bids) with a classy left back and holding midfielder required. Cannot see too many changes to the starting eleven for next season - maybe 3-4 at the most. Have a lot of faith in a number of the squad we already have and without further additions think we probably have enough to avoid bottom three. Depends largely of course on what other teams do recruitment wise.
They are gutted Swords as they know we are gonna spank them next season !! Aigning Upson is a sign of thier desperation right now,,, 6 easy points i think..in qith the big fish !
So far we've only strengthened our side while you've done nothing and last season we took 6 points off you (with ease). What makes you think that signing a new 4th choice centre back will change your fortunes?
Haha cmon Queeny. Take that tongue out of ure cheek now and be serious. If your lot take 6 points of us next season then it really will be depressing times for us lol. As always I like your banter but take your predictions with a huge punch of salt as rarely do they come to fruition. All good fun though.
