I get suckered in every time but not this time. I'll watch it but not getting excited or anything, several times bitten....
 
England will lose to Italy, draw with Uruguay, then narrowly beat Costa Rica and then get on the plane home, that's my prediction anyway. I'll just be glad when this World Cup thing and Wombledingledoodah is over and the new season starts.

Nights start drawing in soon, two weeks time to be precise. "Roll on Christmas, let's have some nuts !" ;)

Yes Supers but don't be fooled by Italy's poor form, like Germany they are without doubt 'tournament sides' and will qualify from the group. England are pants I'm afraid we'll do well to get four points <ok>

oh, absolutely - italy are a tournament team. but they aren't a good side. england aren't either, but italy are very beatable, so i don't really get the doom and gloom. i'd be surprised if we lost that game

Not 'doom and gloom' mate, just not really that bothered TBF. I like to see England win of course but they come a very poor second to my beloved NCFC.
Put it this way, if I were offered promotion back to the EPL for City next year or England to beat Brazil in the World Cup Final, I'd take promotion please, no brainer for me. I know international football is important for many people but sadly it's just a side show now for me. Besides, England haven't had a really good side since 1970 and I include the 1990 team in that. <ok>

this is not aimed at you kio, more at the likes of warky. i don't get why people comment if they are 'not interested' in england.

it shouldn't matter if they think england are ****e or not - they almost always are ****e. we don't stop cheering for norwich just because they are ****e. if they don't like watching england and don't cheer for them, don't comment about them.

Out of interest what would you take Supers, promotion for City or World Cup Glory for England ? Come to think of it, what would the rest of the posters on here take ?
