One guys view Time will tell, but he's young, experienced and versatile. From what I've seen he's ideal for the PL. Other pundits seem to think he's the next big thing out of Germany - so who know's how he'll perform. But 10mil for me is good business
He wouldnt be Roy`s first bad signing, his strike rate on successful purchases is rather low, signing duds is proving a habit for Brenda.
Why? According to reports that's supposedly a 6th of your budget and if you add Lambert you've spent a quarter of your budget on players that aren't defenders. And which other pundits are saying he's the next big thing? He might well come good, he certainly shone for Germany's youth sides but professional football is a whole different kettle of fish and I wasn't all that impressed with him at Leverkusen. He's stong and athletic which makes it easier to look good in youth sides, and the PL to an extent, but he's not so strong and quick in the big leagues so he needs to make up for that on the ball if he's going to become more than a workmanlike player.
Rubin Kazan midfielder and Liverpool target Yann M'Vila was left 'disappointed' after his own coach apparently told him that he was only good enough for the substitute's bench at Anfield. (Source: GiveMeSport) You know things are bad when your own coach wums you.
It`s starting to gather more momentum with potential team mates welcoming Goofy to the Bernabeu, reminds me of last summer with Bale..... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...verpool-ace-Luis-Suarez-to-join-him-in-Madrid
Very telling quote of what fellow professionals really think of Suarez "Suarez is a great player and has achieved a great season, but in football you must produce several very good seasons" Karim Benzema.
Benzema is just clinging to the handrails hoping he isn't booted out the door like Ozil was. If they get Suarez, you can bet your bottom dollar Benzema will be a gonner, or a gooner... Anyway, glad that the highlight of your summer will be speculating on whether Suarez will or won't stay, exciting times for Spurs fans.
All we will be speculating is wether Sturridge will score a goal in the world cup,he was crap against Honduras
We hope Gerrard isn't still haunted by his slip against Chelsea or the back pass against France in the euro's as while Gerrard is a decent player, Ferguson was right when he said "he isn't a top top" player as hes let club and country down at key moments in the big games.
I think the same can be said of every English player since '66. Have we had no top players since then?
The 1990 team, which obviously included Gazza, along with Waddle, Lineker, Platt et al, were genuine contenders for the cup. They could and maybe should, have reached the final. Only some dire luck prevented us getting there. How we would have done without Gazza against the Argies, we can only speculate.
"Despite having a plethora of attacking talent in Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Alvaro Morata and Angel Di Maria, Ancelotti is keen to add to his ranks and has made Liverpool forward Suarez his No.1 summer transfer target." Oh, dear! Poor Mousers. Now, let's see if Brenda can spend his £60 million any more wisely than Levy spent our £80 million.
By the way, in that Daily Star article (quoted above), did anyone else notice the headline "Benzema rejects Arsenal"? Poor Gooners! That's the second time they been laughed at, in a week.
Real are apparently willing to sell Alvaro Morata (complete with buy back clause), which will create a place for Sewerez.
