SC i think knows what he wants,seems very shrewd with his signings,i hope we get the players he wants,apart from sheff utd we have to be the next attractive side in the division to play for.

Just spotted a tumbleweed drifting through this thread. Mind you if it could create from midfield maybe we should sign it up

 

Saw this on the OTIB board:

"Friend of mine lives in the same village as Ayling just outside Yeovil. He is one of the three "better" players who are leaving along with Webster and Stech. Apparently he has said he has three offers on the table, Ipswich, Rotherham and Bristol City. Played right back most of last season and would cost a fee because of his age."

I heard he was going to Brentford?

 

stech I heard was going to Ipswich to replace Loach. Ayling is apparently coming to us, seen a few rumours about him.

 

Hasn't Stech already signed for a team in his country?

 

so he has! Didn't realise, only read a few weeks ago Ipswich wanted him because Loach is being sold.

Luke Ayling and his agent have been speaking to 2 or 3 Championship clubs, one of whom is Ipswich.
However they have also been in contact with League 1 Bristol City who have offered similar terms. The advantage for them is that Ayling would not have to move his family

Oscar Gobern, Sean Scannell, Jon Stead and Martin Paterson all been told they can leave Huddersfield Town this summer. Interest has already started for all four players.

Oscar Gobern - Charlton Athletic or Rotherham United.

Sean Scannell - Millwall, Brentford or Reading.

Jon Stead - Bristol City or Leyton Orient

Martin Paterson - Middlesbrough, Bolton Wanderers or Blackpool.

 

According to OTIB someone said Danny Haynes is in talks with us.

 

If he does come back I hope his attitude has improved

 

Jon Stead and Danny Haynes??? Why dont we go the whole hog and go for Bob Taylor and Andrew Cole

 

Jon stead couldn't end our striking options and compliment Baldock

 

Let us not forget that all those not retained by their present club, are still in paid employment until 30th June.
Thus they can wait a while longer to see what interest/offers there are before they actually become "unemployed".
