    Okay, yes, I pinched the title from the two recent Amber Nectar posts, but what the hell.

    Changes in perception:
    2014 Dean Marney aiming to "do a Hull". (Good thing)
    Linkage 1

    2011 Ian Cockhead not wanting to "do a Hull". (He really is a cock)
    Linkage 2

    How times change.

    In fairness to Holloway, we were a blueprint not to follow. West Brom and Stoke were much the better blueprint to follow of the 3 teams promoted.

    Dyche said: “He came in the first day of pre-season looking like a Rolls-Royce and never looked back. Maybe he’s turned into a Bentley Continental.”

    <laugh>

    More like a rusting Reliant Robin.

    A Reliant Robin is made of Fibreglass so doesn't rust ;)

    Stoke City more so. They came up with us in 2008 and have stayed in the PL thus far. In saying that look @ Fulham now after 13 years ? Only the top 7 can have any confidence of being a PL club at the end of each season now.

    SB wants to try and make us a club that can stay long term in the PL. Stoke - Fulham and beyond hopefully.

    I do hope (and expect) a long run in the PL, our team spirit is exceptional so stands us in good stead for this. Not much change there. Although, I do agree only the top seven are likley to stay long term.

    If the rest manage between 5 -10 seasons then they have acheived great stability. Perhaps trophies like the League Cup or FA Cup remain the best hope of silverware for many of the rest (including us).

    Not much more we can do we are never going to be that big or powerful to compete for regular top places.

    I'm not sure stoke are a model to follow, they've spent a ****ing ****load. Not many promoted clubs have the ability to splash cash like they have.
