...get a possie with the Grand Prix circus or one with Leeds Utd or become a pollie, you can always make a quid with FIFA! sometimes honestly. Now that I have retired I look back and see the opportunities I've missed by being a London Fireman, a chef and a bus driver. Honesty, it seems, does not pay, at least not as much. Wish I had been able to play footy, any code will do.

It gets worse brissy, I drew Australia in the work world cup sweep at Waterloo and the guy running it got Spain funnily enough! <doh> <laugh>

    I rest my case, m'lud!

Good job you didn't draw England, I think they may go the same way as the Socceroos.

The trick Steve is to be the one organising the sweepstake. Now I'm not suggesting I will get Brazil in mine but I've got a good feeling ;)

It's not all bad MFC as I've bagged £15 for joint worst team in the group stage, wooden spoon prize for letting in the most goals is worth £30 but I've got to share it with the geezer who got Cameroon as they and the Aussies both let in 9. <laugh>

Yea, but the difference is we let in 9 classic goals, no rubbish. We wouldn't stoop so low.:1980_boogie_down:

I envy the guy who bet 'I'm getting hungry Suarez' would take a bite out of someone before the Group stages ended.

... and who said there was no such thing as a free meal?
