As you can tell, i dont actually know whos going to brazil so i dont kniw the alternatives in midfield lol.

It wouldn't be a bad call though. He will offer more energy and cover than gerrard and in brazils temperatures, that could be useful.

I hate this myth that International football is the highest level, when it clearly isn't. The Champions league for example has a lot more quality players in the 32 teams that play in it than the WC does. Rooney is well proven at CL level, and has done the business many times.

It's the highest level when you do well!!

I'm sure the Spaniards rate their world cup medals higher than their C.L or La Liga ones.

Name me one game in the C.L against top class opposition where Rooney has stole the show. He looks good in a few group games against the sort of pub sides you normally get. He's been in 2 finals and baring a good goal v Barca, was largely absent in both. He is essentially a flat track bully nowadays. I think it was 1 goal v the top sides this year - a free kick in a game you were tonked in by City.

Face it, Rooney has never been world class for United or England. He showed some amazing potential in his first couple of years and developed into a solid player. He also had a very good year or so around 2010 as well when playing up front but there is a reason none of the top clubs around Europe have ever showed any real interest.

Oh come on. Maradona and Zidane are generally regarded as top 5 players of all time. You just cant compare to Rooney, it's actually quite embarrassing to do so.

As for Ronaldo, probably the best P.L player ever. For 3 years he was untouchable. So your theory is debunked.

They wouldnt be if they had played for united though. Its how it is. For some reason fans of rival clubs enjoy making out their own club is terrible by claiming the united sides who have battered them year after year is rubbish...

Real did want him but were told no. United only sell when we want to or the player wants to go.

What are you spouting on about? You'd be hard pushed to find rival fans who do not think the likes of Keane, Scholes, Ronaldo etc were not world class. Why is it a conspiracy if people don't think the same of Rooney? You sound like a tin foil hat wearing scouser to be honest ;)

Dont forget according to most weve cheated and paid our way to titles. Even when on the rare occasion someone does say how good ine of ours is, its usually followed by 'but not as good as'.

Even when we had the best player in the world...

Anyway, do you think lampard was ever world class? Or terry?

Some bitter Liverpool fans etc may make such claims, but sensible rival fans mostly agree United have had some fantastic sides and players over the years. Are you genuinely asserting that 'most' football fans think you've cheated to titles - behave!!

As much as you'd like to believe otherwise, the whole world isn't against United. But if you're as successful as you have been for a sustained period, you will inevitably get people wanting to have a dig - take it as a compliment rather than having a meltdown about it.

Lampard was voted runner up European and world player of the year by his peers, so was undoubtedly world class for a time. I'd say Terry was as well. Made many European teams of the season etc. It's obviously a matter of opinion though.

How? Didnt you earlier claim rooney wasnt world class because hes not dine well at a world cup. Lampard has been shocking at every world cup and hes been fit... Terrts also been poor...

Or do different rules apply?
