With the imminent loss of ash who do you think monk will make as captain and who would you pick as captain.????

I think that our new captain has not joined yet that monk will choose. Me, well i cant see any other than Leon who captains the midfield superbly. I would make him the club captain for his final years as a player...

At present it would have to be Leon. I could see Shelvey doing a good job, tricky one.

I'd go for Leon for this season.

Rangel would be a close call, next to Britton. Who posted Shelvey ? I Was really laughing. Hopefully the next captain hasn't been signed yet. Would love to see a big name signing, someone who could show the club being ambitious past battling against relegation.

Leon or Rangel for me. Might sound daft but Chico isn't as daft a shout as it seems at first glance. Many a wild footballing child has responded positively to getting some responsibility placed on their shoulders. Chico only has to curb his antics to become an excellent centre back for us. Won't happen though.....

Chico could become a better player for having the responsibility of captaining the side , so the idea isn't that daft at all.

Can Leon command a regular place in the team? Canas and perhaps Fulton will be competing for a place - his place. If he is still around JDG then Shelvey / Ki / Michu will all be looking for a place in midfield. Depending on the shape we adopt, Leon may not make it as a regular starter.

We do not have the Europa competition to worry about, so player rotation will not be a standard practice.

If you put Canas and Foulton together they won't oust Leon.

Canas is nowhere near good enough to keep Leon out as a starting regular and Fulton is for the future <ok>

Why don't you think Shelvey could do the job Mikra?

As much as I enjoy Shelveys footballing skills, I must say I consider him a loose cannon. He's not a good example nor is he material for a team captain...

Not sure Leon is a forceful enough character - in fact I'd go so far as to say he's definitely not. The captaincy shouldn't be awarded on length of employment.

I'm not Chico's biggest fan but the captaincy could be the making of him you know. However, I don't think his English is that great.

Shelvey has emotonal issues and hasn't got the experience or the cool head required.

Looks like it'll be Rangel's by default.
