I doubt the board are ignoring Adam...he has been told the position and doesn't like it. We don't want to sell him, but if we do, we want the best we can get for him. The fact that a price has even been set shows that his move isn't being blocked. He has a long contract...he can't insist we sell him cheap if we think we can get more after the WC. You've changed, Adam, you've changed.

P.s. It would be irrational of us to object to the board showing strength, when we have been asking for it all week.

I'm not going to start resenting Adam, especially as we have only limited access to the facts. But yeah, 100% behind the board for showing a bit of backbone.

Go on Ralph, show us how you got your scars.

Is this Adam Blackmore a Liverpool fan in disguise?

The local media surrounding our team are ****ing ****e. The Echo is reporting that Lallana is basically gone <doh>

Was no need for Blackmore to even raise this in public if true or not. I would back the board on this one so my opinion hasnt changed.... except for that of Mark Clattenburg Assuming this is even true lol

Blackmore raised this in public because Adam asked him to....think the lad has misunderstood fans if he thinks our sympathies will be with him. We need people settling things down...now our Captain apparently doesn't care now he is 'big time'. I'm pleased the board are showing a bit of backbone that I didn't know they had.

They are right though...but we will have our pound of flesh. I am really disappointed in Adam for going public (via the media)...I honestly thought he would stay rather than make waves. Your loyalty should be to Saints, Adam, not just the board of the day.

Damn it, I voted on the wrong side. Easily done, but one should carefully read the question I suppose. <whistle>

My own question - Where has Lallana actually gone public..? I have trawled through media articles and I can't find a single reference to where he actually says that he wants to go to Liverpool.

The three things I have heard/read are:

He wants to play in the CL at some point in my career.

He'd like his future cleared up before the World Cup.

He wants to continue to grow as a player with SFC.

Not exactly busting a gut to go to Liverpool, is it..? Or does he now want to join up with Rickie..? I've seen no indication of that either.

Through Blackmore it seems.

I'm avoiding being wrong by not voting. Why does anyone have to be in the wrong anyway? As is often the case, there is probably a bit of good and bad on both sides.

How's that for a "moderate" viewpoint?

Nope, somebody has to be wrong. Always.

Well not strictly true. There were these two polar bears at the very top of the artic having a row. They needed to head South to get some food and one headed of to the right saying it was that way they needed to go. The other bear said that it wasn't that way and headed off in the opposite direction. Neither were wrong :)

FLT, I think you'll find that the bear who said it wasn't that way, was in fact wrong :emoticon-0105-wink:

Lallana is the captain of this club and didn't he sign a 5yr contract last season? If he has asked to leave he should be ashamed of himself. The captain should set the example to the others; so much for that.

That's why he hasn't handed in a transfer request. Loyalty to the letter of the contract.
