Well today I've been working on the house, have redone the flat roof. It is finally ready to go on the market for sale and I'm now ordering lots of pizza, hot wings, chips and. Garlic bread.

  3. Ditto. I went for a 12" Chicken Tandoori pizza and shared a 10" garlic bread (with tomato, mushroom and cheese), wedges and onions rings with the mrs (not married) :)

Great Sunday dinner yesterday. Roast chicken, carrots, peas and NEW CHESHIRE POTATOES with lashings of lurpak butter. Lush. Tonight, it's bacon, egg and those same potatoes? <ok>

Well had a pub tea of half pound burger, chips, salad and onion rings.

Was nice, couple of pints of Cotleigh Golden Seahawk ale to accompany it.

Dessert was a packet of pork scratchings.

I made ham, cheese and plum chutney wrap for dinner. Can't wait.

Tea will be shepherds pie made with the left overs of yesterday's lamb dinner.

Ate too much over the weekend. Had a shamefully large dose of McShite on Saturday.

Had a mothers made roast beef dinner yesterday. The first one in about 14 years what with her living in Spain during that time.

Was thoroughly disappointing with over cooked beef and veg which had been boiled to within an inch of its life. The tiniest roast potatoes ever and not nearly enough of them. Also what is the point in having boiled potatoes when they can be roasted which are ultimately better.

Are they as good as Jersey royals? King Edward or Maris piper? Which are ultimately the best potatoes for roasting.

You don't roast new Cheshires <grr> You boil them, lightly. If you have them with bacon, you can finish them off in the bacon fat <ok>

My mother in law and Mrs both stick a dish of boiled potatoes in the table with a roast. She did it yesterday.

I think it's the old school way of going about things, that the spuds are to make sure you're full.

She will use our surplus as the topping for tonight's shepherds pie.
