Good God I hope not. He was awful.

    Can't we shift him?

I agree with Nedum, I'd happily have him back.

I'd like Mr Redknapp and his staff to take another look at the lad before deciding whether to get rid or not. If we could get more of the Estoban Granero we saw at The Hawthorns, I'd be happy to keep him.

My immediate reaction matches Swords' view, but then I would have said the same of Barton a year ago. Perhaps, like Joey, this time round he will be a reformed personality and prove to be an asset?

I've always liked him, and we had that fleeting hour at White Hart Lane where he and Faurlin totally bossed Spurs. I truly believed we were going to kick on, but we lost that game and the debacle at home to West Ham quickly followed.

But because I like him he is bound to fail again. If he does play and play poorly, my only plea is that we don't have dozens of posts with the 'lightweight' cliche littering the board. Original criticism required, or at least use of the Thesaurus.

This Stan - exactly this. If only Friedel hadnt played out of his skin that day, we'd have won comfortably and who knows what else. Spurs would've binned AVB sooner too.

It is possible alright but I think there may be a possible problem in the dressing room regarding players who left last season but now want to come back in when all the hard work was done in the Championsh*t by the rest of the team. Even if Remy or Taarabt came back in (not that they will), it mightn't do a lot for squad morale.

Then again as Onuoha said, it mightn't have been Granero's fault that he was shipped out last year.

One things for certain. If he does come back we'll have a lot more postings from our Bosnian friend El Pirata!

In Granero's defence, when he played for us he never showed a lack of effort. He was making a lot of tackles and generally passed the ball well. In a team with more stability and someone like Joey Barton next to him to keep him in line, he may well be a good player. In saying that, I think it may well be an either/or scenario with him and Faurlin. Do we really need both?

Give me Faurlin any day. He actually gives a crap about the club much more than can be said about Granero.

Agree with sb, at spuds he & Faurlin ran the show. I really believe he can do well in the Prem & is well worth another chance.

A Yes ? for me. He was a good player and should be an asset, but sometimes seemd a bit slow for the PL, and now like Ale is coming back from a bad injury. He needs looking at I think.

I must be mistaking Granero for someone else based on the general opinion on here. I will admit that he had a couple of good games initially but then badly deteriorated thereafter. Showed very little heart and not the 'right sort' IMO.

Mate my absence has nothing to do with Granero. It's all about the lack of good streams and my poor internet connection. I was here for the play offs even Granero wasn't

Having said that I watched his interview couple of day ago and he said he would like to stay at Real Sociedad

This is whats good about forums, totally different opinions!!. I liked him and showed class at first and with Faurlin looked a real pair but lost his way as the team did and bit parts wasnt his style.

Who knows he could be knackered now after his injury anyway.
