My point is that killing in the name of the koran,if thats what it is has always gone on and many Will tell you its not the koran but different peoples interpretation of it! Surely you know that right?

I never said in the name of christianinty either but as you brought up killing in the name of the koran just check your history to see how many have been killed in the name of christianity!

As for trying to please people and my reputation well your just being extremly silly now, to lose a reputation you first have to gain one and you dont gain a reputation on a message board you just give your opinion on how you see things on football,which as we all know Are all about different opinions.

Im sure all other posters Will vouch for me in the fact that i dont care about such things anyway, if i Think they say something good i say it, if i disagree with them i Will also say so, im quite thriller that you Think i Even had a reputation to lose though!..<laugh>

OK. The race issue is a genuine concern which needs dealing with. In the Polygamy thread you made a sweeping generalisation about men based on the colour of their skin. It was not a positive comment, it was a negative comment.

So you made a negative comment upon a particular group of people based on the colour of their skin. That is a racist comment.

Despite your subsequent explanations (only when challenged) a racist comment was made and it caused upset at the time.

So in answer to the original post, it is NOT acceptable to make sweeping generalisations about particular groups based on skin colour or make racist comments. You are on an open forum. If you don't want to be accused of being a racist don't use racist language.

If you can spare the time,go back,read ALL the threads and you will see,if you can remove the sleep from your eyes,that once the matter had been raised I IMMEDIATELY corrected it and made my peace with the only person that it mattered to,i.e. Kwame,our Ghanaian friend.

The point Norway is that they interperet the book literally - in other words they accept even the bad parts as gospel. Some say this is the only way holy books should be read and you shouldn't pick and choose as Christians and moderate Muslims do. Fact is the Qur'an does advocate death for apostates, homosexuals and adulterers. Furthermore, all non believers (that's you and me) get this:

"Qur'an (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out."

Fact: the book contains no less than 109 verses that call on Muslims to war (Jihad) on non-believers in the cause of Islamic rule. Little wonder that many of Islam's followers want to kill us - their book repeatedly tells them to do so. I'm sick and tired of politicians saying that terrorists and extremeists have 'twisted' Islam - they haven't.
 
What an 'honourable' killing in Pakistan. <doh><doh><doh><doh><doh> Terror - 'Honour' killings are commonplace in Pakistan. Over 800 a year that are documented and it's estimated well over a thousand, almost all women. Picking on an isolated incident is disingenuous, not that I'm bashing a Christian drum. Violence in the U.S Bible belt is mainly down to out of control gun laws. <ok>

There's a survey out today that says about 30% of us are racist to varying degrees but I wonder what that word actually means. If it means I judge every person (say) from Romania as a thieving gypo without having met them then yes that would be racist because everyone is different. If it means do I think that a huge proportion of the Romany community (also reviled in Romania) are thieving bastards that I wouldn't want living anywhere near me then I'm guilty as charged.

It's unpalatable to some but there are elements within certain ethnic communities that are despicable and are completely contrary to UK values. Does that make me a racist? I don't know. I call it being truthful. Female genital mutilation in African communities, 'honour' killings in Asian communities and Sharia law in Muslim communities. None of these things are compatible with British law or British beliefs yet they have become part of our society due to political correctness and a terrifying belief that if we say something we'll be labelled racist.

I'm not calling anyone a racist I'm pointing out our countries hypocrisy.

There's a lot of sexual abuse of children in this country. Somebody put up a list of MPs and Councillors etc. that have been prosecuted the other day.
Our country has been involved in a lot of wars that we had no business in.
Our country has subjected and sometimes enslaved many people throughout the World.


Our country also has a lot of good things going for it and has done a lot of good throughout history also.
Just trying to add some balance.
 
I get that, there's a lot wrong with our culture too. But it's our culture. Btw *****s exist in all cultures.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just ship out the bad elements to some island along with Tony Blair. :)

As i said its about how the koran is interpratated.

And as i also said christianity or the bible is exactly the same , The old testement preaches
the same Stuff, killing other people for certain reasons, so why focus on just one thing?

We have commited more murder on the back of the bible than they have on the back of koran the crusades killed millions, we have killed through history and Are still doing it ,no difference what so ever .

When you say many of its followers want to kill us thats just not true, what is true is that we Are killing more people in the name of freedom ,imprisoning people in the west bank and calling them terrorists when they just want to be free, the list is endless.

I accept what you say dragon but we need to remember that both Are as bad as each other .

Nah. Don't buy that sorry. Chronicles in context talks about an historical event and it does not call upon its followers today to wage war on non-believers. But you're right to point out violence in the Christian holy book. It's everywhere. Fear of retribution (hell, damnation) if you don't believe is the hallmark of many religions.

Having said that I do agree that the religious right in the U.S are almost as much of the problem as they see the Book of Revelations as a blueprint for the endtimes. It would be laughable if you didn't realise that they are extremely vocal and popular group in the U.S and actually won Bush two elections.

I dislike all religions but I mention Islam because Christians tend not to go around blowing up planes, markets and shopping centres in the name of their religion, and the reason is clear. The Muslims' holy book tells them to - 109 times, no less.

You decided to escalate the issue when it was being dealt with in a different thread. Why start a debate if you do not want to hear what people think? People can draw their own conclusions from that.

The FACT is that you used a comment that can be deemed racist. As I have already said, if you don't want to be considered a racist don't use racist language. Simple really.

70 % of americans Think 9/11 was an inside job to allow the USA to pursue its agenda in the middle east,so There is opinion that christians do blow up planes!

As for shopping centres well that is no different to the west carpet bombing iraq,afghan,libya and plenty other places, its just that you dont read about it because the media dictates certain agendæ , most people killed in iraq were civilians and alot more were killed There than by a terrorist act by extremists,harsh but true.

Seen footage from wiki leaks? 12 kids and family members shot to pieces by an Apache gi ship for no reason,this is where the hate is bred. Not by just reading the koran.

If the USA bo bed your family and killed your children you would want revenge right ?
