  5. Some old pictures of my old tank when I first got started:

That tank was 18" x 12" x 24" (W x D x H) and it held 90litres, cost me about £100 plus heater, filter, accessories, etc. About £170 in total. Then the fish.

    Current tank but old picture:

This is a 30" x 12" x 15" tank holding about 120litres. doesn't look much there as I was still building up at the time after having a smaller tank first.

I had a few smaller tanks too, I had four running at once at once point and was breeding for a while too.

They are cruel and should be banned. Fish exhale ammonia and waste contains ammonia which is toxic as well as nitrites and nitrates from waste and decaying food, basically it's like you living in a sealed room having to live and breathe in your own piss ****.

Goldfish are extremely durable so the ****s can suffer quite a while in a fish bowl.

  17. It was but it lost a eye in a fight with another shark I had at the time. Asked the shop attendant if they got on and he said yes, internet said otherwise.

I bought three sharks, all as babies. They were peaceful and growing together but must have out grown the tank as they started to attack each other. The one that won bloody died about four weeks later anyway #batard

PS...I knew they would out grow the tank as they grow to five or six inches (oo-er) but didn't know they didn't get along when invading the others space. I planned to get a bigger tank in time, just didn't have enough time. The two that were killed happened over a about three days.

Was the other sharks redtails by any chance? Mature males of either species will not tolerate each other. For 3 male Ruby or red tail sharks, which are algae eaters mainly, you need a about 4 feet of tank per shark so they can have their own territory.

Your fish guy doesn't now what the **** he is talking about.
